Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Today was the Champagne region in France. Called in at Monail Champagne house.
A small family run vineyard with exceptional Champagne all pressed and fermented at their 13th Century old monastery which has been making Wine for over 600 years.
We were given a tour of the cellars which was an amazing site. They asked that we didn’t share pics on the internet
After lots of tasting we left with a case of some beautiful Champagne.

Even Batman downed a bottle or two.

Now sat at a very picturesque camp site with a warm feeling tonight could be messy.

I’m enjoying this camping lark.

Up to Glen Affric then a wee scoot around the loch on the bikes, so lucky having places like this almost on the doorstep.

Nice and quiet today, although we did come around a corner to be faced with a ladies bare backside as she took a pee at the roadside, never seen a pair of trousers go up so quickly...……….

Today we drove from France to Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland.
We avoided the toll roads and drove through some beautiful French villages.
Finally arrived at our campsite.
We are in a valley with 3 magnificent waterfall and although it’s 28 degrees there is snow on the mountains.
Absolutely breathtaking place. Only down side is it very crowded so peace will be hard to find.

Today we went to Grindelwald. Another stunning village in the Swiss alps.
Saw this and thinking I’d like to do that colour scheme to my van. :)

Weather was amazing all day but had some horrendous downpours this evening.

Beautiful skies tonight over the snow capped mountains.

We shall certainly return. Switzerland is breathtakingly beautiful.

Tomorrow we leave for Germany. 8 hours drive and it has a lot to live up to after Switzerland.

I reckon that the Q7 is probably best left underground.

We've been to Grindlewald when we were staying at Camping Jungfrau. Where about's are you staying?

Oh and after 4 years of visiting all over Switzerland, I can say that there are parts of Germany that do live up to the Swiss scenery:thumbsup:

Been hitting the saddle a lot recently. Not really cycled for the last 20 years.

Unfortunately, we lost our wonderful Border Collie, Poppy in early May, due to liver problems. She hadn’t quite reached 11 years. And it’s knocked us for six a bit. So the emphasis upon long 15-20k walks has diminished somewhat.
We’ve still got our little chihuahua x, but I have to carry him most of the way!

Having said that, I’m really enjoying the mountain bike again. I’d probably forgotten how much fun it is.

Just need the rain to stop now.
