Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Yep.
Burnbake Forest Lodges & Campsite - Burnbake

Basic & very quiet, rural site that allow campfires.
Used to take the kids there when they were younger. We had ‘Dads & kids only’ weekends. Around this time at midsummer. Usually around 20 dads and loads of children. Dads drink, kids run off onto the woods. Simple fun. Probs wouldn’t do it now.

Always had half an oil drum for bbq. And open fire. It was barely more than a field then.

I’ll be back now I’ve the van.

There are now luxury lodges with hot tubs, a large scouts camping activity field. We were in the general, pitch anywhere field so put ourselves in the trees and relaxed. There were also EHU tucked in the woods. Showers were nice and hot and clean, with a little camp shop.

So after 13 days and over 2000 miles we are finally home.
First time we have ever been away for this long in the van, its been great trip and we have visited 6 countries.
So today in my Van I have been to Belgium, France, sponge-bob land and England.

We've loved sleeping in the van but my nice big bed at home will be a welcome site tonight and very soon.

Snap! Off to Vale of Pickering early tomorrow morning. MTB in Dalby Forest + F&C in Whitby etc.

If you want the best fish and chips in the Northern hemisphere encourage you to try Excelsior Fisheries in Staithes.

And yes I've had many from various chippys in Whitby.
