Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Went out for the day in the van to tour round Hannover and when we got back the site was nearly full. Sure we would have lost our pitch had it not been for this.
The Germans had never seen one before and were all very interested as to where they could get one.
I think a few were quite miffed as we were in an excellent spot and our sign stopped them from pinching it. :D:D:D
 
Started at Alpe d'huez this morning and we are now in Sancerre and heading down the Loire this week. Got to find shade as 41 deg C is forecast in a few days time !

Would have thought that the Germans would simply rely on the tried and tested beach towel method, why go to the trouble of buying a sign?

The only people that nicked my pitch on my Spain /Portugal tour last year were Germans:mad:

I agree. They have crammed themselves into the smallest of spaces with no regards for their neighbours just to get a glimpse of the lake.
They really didn’t like the fact a Brit had a sign and they didn’t.
Nice to see some things never change.

Germany (the country) is nice but doubt we will ever return. I just don’t think they like the British.

Had that problem all week in France, Switzerland and now Germany.
35 today and currently 24.
Every window fully open but sleep is a luxury that’s hard to achieve. :(
 
Not been anywhere, it's been nose to the grindstone recently, but going to take off to Fort William area for a few days tomorrow. Hoping for some bright periods between the rain as I'm taking bike, fishing gear, camera gear and inflatable kayak. Probably going to head up the Ben on one day too, I need to get away from it all and blow away some cobwebs
