Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

I thought it would be over-run. How was the bus service?
Mate we've not long got back to the site. Been a long day. Open top bus was great but takes so long due to having to keep stopping because of blocked roads. Honestly I wouldn't drive my vw down some of the roads but they are happy to schedule a double decker bus route!

Well, sound to me like you made the right choice letting the bus deal with the hassle. Unfortunately we have two sprogs and two dogs to contend with as well. Love the idea of leaving the camp set up and taking a day off….no worries if you have a beer too many!!!

We love St Ives. Never camped there, but tend to get a house near the centre, with car park space, then don’t use the car all week. Photos look good.

Mega busy. Glad we didn't try to drive in.
We were there today aswell. But we drove in. Tried every carpark but no luck. Had one last car park to try and squeezed the van on some yellow hazards out the way. Got away with it! Haha

Beach and weather was amazing today, got a tad burnt though! We saw an open top bus coming in as we were leaving. The bus driver was having words with some burk in a merc! Haha

Your a braver man than me! Saw a large motorhome trying to drive along the front could see the look of horror on his face as he was thinking "I've f***ed up here"

Better class of neighbour there, eh?!!
Lol its one extreme to another. We're scared to speak above a whisper! Not sure how their going to take my Mrs snoring or my wind tonight It is a beautiful site though with views to die for.

WSM belongs in the “Shy toll” thread. :)
If you want beach down that way you’re better off going to Brean, not brilliant but a lot better than WSM.
Yes I've considered the same too, an NT car park past the holiday park looks well located. Maybe less crowds too?

Nice long walk from Kirknewton to Lanton over the River Glen, hills in this part of North Northumberland are spectacular this time of year.
Whilst crossing a field on our way back noticed a little calf lying down ahead away from the main herd... mother cow spotted us approaching it and came thundering towards us causing me, swmbo and the dog to give it big legs ! We went for a nearby fence line but said cow was gaining quick. There was nothing for it, so left SWMBO behind, picked up the dog and legged it quicker. Fortunately cow stopped with its calf. SWMBO not impressed with my choice of priorities!!
