Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Been with our 2 year old grandson, on trip to Hardwick hall, near Chesterfield, nice walk through the woods and then back to the van for a hot chocolate and snacks, why is it, in a massive carpark some numpty has to park next to the van?

@twotone2. We've always found that it's the same at campsites. I like to think it was because of my devastatingly good looks and winning personality but my Mrs definitely thinks otherwise!

To be fair, I think the Yaris driver has wanted to be away from the masses too and seen you as a safe neighbour. He's left more than enough room to avoid door dinging or bag scratching, so you both now have one protected side.

Trip to the bodyshop this afternoon to drop the van off for its accident repair, also asked them to re paint the bonnet while they're at it, saves me all the graft filling the millions of stone chips.

Have shedloads to do to it when it comes through the other side.

If that’s ..Inchcape ( near Denton) make sure you check it meticulously….I’ve been there twice…had to have new black plastic trim replaced as they used solvent cleaner…it went white…and the paint work had issues….hope you have better luck :)

Good shout to pay a few quid to have bonnet done at the same time!

Correct! I've already told them I want it mint. If its not right it'll have to be done again, simples.

Looked at some of their work and it looked good, obviously depends on who you get and what day of the week it's done on :D.

Absolutely, I did ask him about the doing the bumper also but he said if he did that then they would have to disconnect the radar and then it'll need re calibration = ££ Told him to forget it then.

Hot chocolates all round and still lots of power in the leisure battery at the end of two full boiled kettles.

@Bigsidavies. Nice one. I haven't even thought about Llandegla for years but back in the last century, I collected a few prizes shooting clays at the Llandegla Shooting Ground which was then owned by a pal of mine (such a good pal that I can't remember his surname at the moment!). Thanks for prompting the memories though. Mind you, as a confirmed roadie, I still think you mountain bikers are a bit weird.
