Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Sorry for leaving you all hanging!

Power cut overnight, so no mobile signal or wifi either.

Bit of a rockin' night, and no, not in that sense @JOG!, so went for a snowy walk in Lathkill Dale, fortunately power back on by the time we got back.

Nice and toasty thanks to Webasto and Pucer Insulated Screen!!!
Started to get a bit worried that you'd not checked in.
Glad you both ok

Anyway, if you don't hear from me tomorrow, raise a glass of your favourite tipple and spare a moment of reflection for me and Mrs CAB
:mexican wave:

I'll put the bottle away

Yep - after breakfast and lunch (scones and toast etc) cooked on our wood burning stove there was a need for some serious calories.

You are about 10 mins from my house. Still very windy today and cold, going to be -3ish tonight.
Did you lose power? Seemed to be a lot of incidents on the Western Power website when we managed to get a signal.

Anyway, kettle on, tea milk no sugar, or coffee decaf this time of night, we'll be there in 10 minutes :mexican wave:
:fast rofl:

Yes, lost power overnight but it came back on in the morning. Some parts of Buxton are still without power I believe.

Gritters have gone AWOL so lots of black ice on the roads last night and this morning. My weather sensor reported -3 here so I'd guess Monyash was around -5 !

And it's only November!!!
I guess a wood burning stove is an essential item in Buxton, not a fashion statement.

Car park in Buxton - I'm in Bakewell so a little less snow in town but a fair bit where we are.

The A515 heading back to Buxton.

Note to self:
Don't pitch camp where there is a slope up to the road and snow is forecast, without either (a) winter tyres or (b) 4motion or (c) preferably both!

Thankfully option (d) was available, i.e. Gary and Neil at Lathkill Dale Campground with a tow-rope and a Discovery. We will be back, in summer next time!
