Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Not today but yesterday, had another drive out to Weston Super Mare. It was the best kind of day for a stroll down the length of the beach and back with a very cold wind blowing but bright sunshine all the way. When we got back to the van we were sheltered from the wind and it was warm enough for t-shirts and also just right for smoked salmon & cream cheese bagels and a nice cuppa. Even better, there was hardly anybody else there with only one other car at the beach carpark when we arrived at about 1030 hrs. By the time we left at 1330 hrs there was only another half a dozen or so.

@CAB - If your camping tonight, there are 44mph winds in that part of Derbyshire.

I know

But the Met Office didn't have it above 30, so decided to chance it!

Last weekend camping before New Year, wanted to see how far into winter we could go with the van. Webasto getting a good workout!

Anyway, if you don't hear from me tomorrow, raise a glass of your favourite tipple and spare a moment of reflection for me and Mrs CAB
:mexican wave:

Proper camping! You must post an update to entertain us to let us know Mrs CAB is safe!

Did you & Mrs CAB survive the night?

@CAB - are you 2 ok?

I have the number for Mountain Rescue on hand…
Might be more a case for coast guard, depending on how far they got blown out!

Leg-pulling aside, some of the storm reports are quite nasty so hearing from @CAB would be good!

Sorry for leaving you all hanging!

Power cut overnight, so no mobile signal or wifi either.

Bit of a rockin' night, and no, not in that sense @JOG!, so went for a snowy walk in Lathkill Dale, fortunately power back on by the time we got back.

Nice and toasty thanks to Webasto and Pucer Insulated Screen!!!

Wishing I'd brought the van up to my cottage in Northumberland !!
Currently sat in the semi dark with no heating or lights, contemplating how I'm going to fix the roof that lost some tiles overnight.
I'd kill for my planar right now...
