Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Currently at Haukland Beach on the Lofoten Islands. CC718D06-0FBF-42AF-98C2-3160BC9B1F9E.jpeg
Making the most of the extra table leg bracket I installed at the rear. Outside cooking in the rain is a breeze now.53B2B3CA-2D91-4BB5-AB4E-DFD1B27CEE97.jpeg979E5E0B-FC48-4A7A-AB32-69FD7DF3F06F.jpeg
Had a hike round the mountain to the next bay and watched the sea eagles flying off the cliffs above. Been seeing eagles every day this week, which is quite amazing.

Not gone far today. Visited a couple of beaches on our travels and got to our destination site at Skagen Camping, still on the Lofoten archipelago, at lunchtime. 43035DD9-B4C5-41F4-8223-27EED2639F34.jpeg3F7E3B15-F07B-4C48-AE8E-FFFDD876A798.jpeg
Bad weather day, so got a nice site with a beach bar.CD77D9B5-000A-4BC0-9536-2354B5737FD5.jpeg
Tough it out until the weather improves tomorrow.

Would you recommend that trip, Simon?
Yeah definitely. If you like plenty of driving through amazing scenery. The distances are pretty vast but the place is breathtaking.
Even when the weather is rubbish the scenery is still astonishing.
It’s just expensive, but you save money in accommodation costs. It’s so easy to just stop and overnight pretty much anywhere.
Ferries are half price if you have an autopass tag and prepaid ferry account (a faff to set up but worth the effort). Ferry to Lofoten was over an hour and with the discount it cost us £9.21 including the van and us. So some things are cheap.

Escaped work Friday to get down to the south coast early. Stayed at herston camping and caravanning site. I wouldn’t recommend the site (1000 campers per bog!) and noises although short walk to swanage beachfront, great lunch and swim in the sea before dinner at tawny restaurant (definitely recommend). Luckily we only stayed one night (tonight at in-laws in Ringwood), met them at kimmeridge bay. For a perfect day chilling with access to the sea for a dip.

Nowhere.
Clutch pedal stuck down with a little puddle of oil on my drive.

Terrible feeling...happened to mine @ 30,000 km, but 7 months after warranty expired. VW Au. fixed all under warranty including hire car (4 weeks) Had to wait for slave cylinder to come from Germany.
Hope they fix yours quickly for you.

Not got a van yet, but I did go to Driffield Steam Rally today. Spotted lots of Transporters in the carpark - anyone on here go?
