I have used the Castleton site (caravan club) a few times. Lots of cycling in the area. As it is hilly, it'd be a good try out for the bikes. There aren't really cycling paths though. The site is around a 15 mins walk to Castleton with a fair few pubs.Morning All. The wife and I are planning a week in the Peak District (not been before) trying out our new hybrid electric bikes and wondered if anyone had a recommendation for a great site near to good cycling (paths preferably) and pubs obviously! Thanks.

You don’t say what type of bike or your skill level, but assuming from your paths mention that you’re not looking for highly technical stuff.Morning All. No. That’s perfect. Our bikes are hybrid so we are looking for relatively moderate paths and trails. So thank you so much. You don’t say what type of bike or your skill level, but assuming from your paths mention that you’re not looking for highly technical stuff.
Have a look at the Tissington Trail that runs from Ashbourne to just outside Buxton.
Also look at cycling around Carsington Water which is near Ashbourne.
There’s also Derwent Reservoir (the dam buster one) which you can cycle around.
If I’ve pitched the rides a little too easy then let me know.
As for sites I guess it depends where you are going to be riding. Others will know of good sites for the respective areas.
From Castleton, you can head out towards Hope and get onto a trail path (shared pedestrian and cycle) that will take you to Yorkshire bridge at Ladybower reservoir. From there it is just a short pedal to Derwent reservoir as Simon has mentioned. I go out on my E Mountain Bike, but stick mainly to roads and trails. I don't do any proper mountain bike stuff at all, and this area is great for that. Some nice hills to go up (knowing you have some assistance) and some great ones to fly down. You don’t say what type of bike or your skill level, but assuming from your paths mention that you’re not looking for highly technical stuff.

Have a look at @Nige_g reply. He links Castleton site to Ladybower and Derwent. That’s a great route.No. That’s perfect. Our bikes are hybrid so we are looking for relatively moderate paths and trails. So thank you so much.
@EAN. We were almost neighbours for a while - I'm in Frampton on Severn, the next village along the canal from Slimbridge!Just spent the weekend at Tudor Caravan Park in Slimbridge. Good site and location; we stayed in the older part called The Orchard. Quite a few T6’s around and also spotted a motorhome with a personalised T6 number plate, so reckon they had one previously. Any of you on here?
They will feed the National Grid Only got the one on mine and I am waving goodbye to the EHUSome exotic locations then, in our case we're keeping it real exploring the beach at Hollesly Bay, Suffolk just by the prison and a stone's throw from the nuclear recycling plant.
