Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

@Bigsidavies. We're leaving UK through the tunnel next Tuesday morning and haven't really decided where to head for but Brittany might be on the route. That place sounds good but is it anywhere near a town or village with shops and cafes / restaurants? I ask as we really don't want to self-cater more than every other night (at most). As I say, we're undecided on the final destination and probably won't make our minds up until we drive off the train in Calais - depending on weather reports, we see before getting on the train, we might turn left, right or go straight on to Reims and then head south but options at the back of the mind are always nice to have. Cheers.

We have stayed in Carnac and Saint Lunaire, both nice towns with bars and restaurants

Benodet has 3 restaurants on the sea front and a couple of small bars. Has a lovely beach. It’s pretty quiet and not a bustling tourist place.
The island trip is well worth it, but best to book in advance. The boat was pretty full today.
We’ve eaten at the van, but had a couple of drinks on the terraces of the restaurants.
Has a really nice deli that does fresh fruit n veg and bread etc, a couple of boulangerie and a small carrefour.

got back last Saturday from Scotland, motorbike rally, and plenty of driving around the west coast and Cairngorms etc. saw lots of others travelling North on the way home, great colour schemes. 635 mile drive home. long way and knackered for the last couple of days.

Perfectly timed quick stop at the Italian Chapel, just before a coach load turned up;

Finally to South Ronaldsay for our final stop, Wheems Organic Farm and Campsite. Not exactly Caravan Club standard, but a view to die for.
