Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

This one:

Was busy even in May. Has a pool and a little shop and bar.
Facilities are a little ancient but work.
You can book it through PitchUp.

Ahh, same one I have booked then. Looked like it had good access to Avignon too on the boat across the river.

Yes, it's an easy walk into town too. If you have bikes, then it's easy and safe to explore the island.

The general rule Bav - is get it off pronto, before it etches the clear coat. You don’t need any special products, just get some sopping wet kitchen paper, lay it over the cack and let it soak for 5 mins to soften, then just carefully wipe off. Nowt more to it than that really pal.
That worked a treat.
Now I just need to find a way to dissuade the starlings from nesting in the same place next year. :sneaky:

A pair of night vision goggles (to catch ‘em while they’re roosting - they’re a hard shot in flight) a nice bottle of red, a camping chair and an air-rifle should do the trick mate. Always happy to help with detailing advice :sneaky:

Early hop on Le Shuttle this morning, then a lengthy hack through France to Il de Re (little island accessed by the mother of all road bridges just by La Rochelle).

Long day in the saddle, but mirror finish French toll road tarmac, combined with not much traffic and adaptive cruise control made the journey an enjoyable doddle.

Love a good road trip - and have to say the van chewed up the miles in a very comfortable way - a proper Grand Tourer!

Currently sat outside my beach chalet (‘er indoors and the nippers tucked up in bed) enjoying the lap of the waves and a nice cold French beer. Dip in the sea first thing tomorrow me’thinks

You're a heartless man Jim :D. I was thinking along the lines of a roll of chicken wire in the guttering.

Cultybraggan Camp open day in Comrie. It used to be a WW2 Nazi prisoner or war camp, guarded by Polish soldier, as they weren't afraid of offing a few if they tried to escape. Then it became an army training camp until the early 2000s. Then it was sold to the local community in 2007 who have been using it for small business (in the nissen huts) and community garden/allotments, as well as local groups like the Dull Men's club and Scouts etc...
Lots of old military vehicles and people dressed up as soldiers from medieval through to the Erskine Regt (est. 1764?) through to relatively modern day WW1 soldiers (allies and Germans) with all the vehicles (except tanks) associated with them. Lovely sunny warm day, but long grass carpark so we have been checking each other for ticks etc... IMG20230528133806.jpgIMG20230528133753.jpg

A little jaunt out for a night away in the van. I'm parked in the campsite attached to the Crown Inn at Bishops Cannings near Devizes. Just me an done other van. Beautiful spot, £12 a night. The pub its said to serve good food and beer - I'll check that out later. I've an MS Teams meeting to join first.View attachment 200046

I would be interested to hear what the food and drink are like? Does it have electric hookup? Dogs allowed?

That’s a long way to go for Great Yarmouth! Was in the area last year so visited for the first time in decades and was shocked at how much it had declined. It was a teenage stomping ground and I have fond memories but I won’t be rushing back! Your pics look great though.
