Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Thanks matey, the mother in law booked a caravan for the week so thought it would be rude not to go, lovely beach but quite chavvy :). I fitted right in :D, well that's what the missus said ...

First ever trip away with the van T6 LWB Kombi with Leisure battery solar panel, Exploria bed , reimo rail, fridge, Vango Galli 3 air awning . along with the Mrs , 2 kids 15 and 10 and two massive dogs Rhodesian Ridgebacks . Went to Anglesey a pop up site called old castle site (Bodorgan) for 2 nights , no electric hook up. I really enjoyed it, slept in the van with the dogs Mrs and the kids in the awning, her choice. I was roasting all night she was freezing kids wee fine. Unsure she enjoyed it, Doubt she will be up for trips longer than a couple of days. Think she likes her home comforts too much. weather , views , days out were amazing
Something I did notice we lived out of the back of the awning area ,and back of the van. Yet the porch part of the awning is at the front. Ideally would like the back of the awning and the back of the van.IMG_7609.jpegIMG_7651.jpegIMG_7658.jpeg

Whilst I still have a panel van, and not yet a camper - our little drive today was to wendover woods. It’s our usual weekend walkies spot.

My parking somehow looking like it’s been dumped… I just wanted to park in the further away spaces to avoid anyone else parking next to me :D
I didn’t reverse into the space as I haven’t got myself a reversing camera yet! Will get one soon.

So 2 nights at Avignon, and yesterday we moved up to Bourges. Bit of sightseeing and food and drink here, then up to the North coast somewhere ready for the ferry on Monday.

Went from Bourges up to the coast and found a small site near Arromanches at Asnelles. A bit windy there but great once the sea mist cleared. Had a superb meal in a restaurant there, and then visited Arromanches.

Back home on the ferry last night.

We are now going to see if we can get a 4-5 day visit in to go back to France again when the Tour de France is on, as it would be great to see Mark Cavendish race in his last year. Not confident in getting a ferry at this late stage, and in the school hols.
