Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

I drove to Worcester on boxing day with my marital family to see my birth family.
We witnessed potentially the most expensive mince pie, at £212.
My sisters Cockapoo retrieved one from the spares collection in my sisters bag.
Apparently they can be fatal to dogs, I learned that. Raisins not good for dogs. Who'd have thought.
Vet bill, boxing day, £212.
Sister, not happy!
Dog induced etc, charcoal etc, dog survives.
Watch out for mince pies!
Here endeth the story of a Christmas gone pie...

Still see a few of these floating around here - mainly in the villages.

My dad had a brand new 120lse back on A reg in 1984. It then became my first car circa 1988 and was great fun in the snow with the rear engine RWD.

The quality of the product remains long after the price is forgotten! Said BMW in 1985! Not sure Skoda(?) used that line back then!

Had a few days away over the new year with Friends at Yenworthy lodge at the edge of exmoor NP. Weather was pretty horrific – wind and, more or less, non stop rain (some torrential) but we all had a lovely time. Went to Lynmouth for a fab 3 course lunch. Nearly got blown off our feet walking around but managed not to lose any of the kids.

Wife was upset that one sleeve of her coat did not dry very quickly. Seeing the van pic, We've just realised why :slow rofl:

We spent New Year with family near Plymouth, have to say the drive back on New Year's Day was a bit... sporty with wind gusts and a huge amount of surface water.

Journey punctuated with lots of impatient drivers trying to roar past us in frustration and then hitting the standing water making everything disappear in a cloud of water and on a couple of occasions the joy of an obviously aquaplaning vehicle alongside you.

Fun. Had to have quite the whisky once we got home. I'll never mock those that choose to install side wind assist again.

A shameless plug for beautiful CC2's and Northface by the look of it! Loving the two-toneness.

The coat is a RAB. She looks like the StayPuft marshallow man in it but it keeps her warm.

Tyres are actually Falken All Season AS210's - were a little cheaper than the CC2s and I'm waiting to see how long they last. A friend said he tried the Falkens but the Michelins lasted much better. I've been really pleased with them. They've been fantastic in the wet so far.

Apologies, wrong on both counts! The tread pattern looks close to CC2's. Struggling to get in our cupboard under the stairs because of wifeys puffy coats! I have 2 coats, one of those is kept in the van because there is no space in the house!

Almost constant drizzle/rain for last few days. They’ve closed the slope as a result.

Not too upset as been laid up with a bug however for sake of the rest of their season hope they get some cold front soon.

Someone left the barrier up so I was able to sneak in right next to the piste and the lifts for a photo
