Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Stopped two nights at Quinta Lilou campervan park, Rio-Seco, Algarve, Portugal, a very rural and very peaceful place, not to everyone’s taste but if you want peace and quiet this is the place for you, electric hookup, Wi-Fi and one toilet and no shower, lucky we have a plug in shower on the van, so naked outdoor shower in the morning

Sorry yes that’s what I meant.
Just checking as we’d not really explored the site and wondered if I’d missed something. We enjoyed our point and did at the bistro but didn’t stay late so wasn’t disappointed when it closed.

Had a brief roadtrip out to the Devises area where we had our narrowboat in the past and showed the younguns the epic workout that is the Caen Hill flight.

There's a good car park behind it and nice cafe with excellent ice cream at the top, lovely area for some gentle walking too.

Had the fridge out testing the new solar panel so also shoved some stuff in it and had alfresco lunch and chilled (non alcoholic) cans

Stopped at Woodhenge again, lot of vans and picnicers parked up but still very peaceful. Brought the right vehicle this time (Caravelle not the XC70) but didn't exactly get the motoring promo shot of it...

Final stop near Calais for two nights. This brings to an end our 3 week adventure, which has been pretty epic. Seen some truly amazing places and ticked off a few items from my bucket list. Will crunch the numbers when back home and work out the total cost.

My theory is that if you don’t need to worry about what you’re spending when you’re away then don’t ever come home and add it up. It’ll only cause unnecessary stress.

Just got back from an "interesting" weekend, took granddaughter (4) and great-niece (2) to Cannon Hall Farm in Yorkshire, on Saturday, which included a meet and greet opportunity with the Bluey cartoon dog figure, youngsters loved it and were surprisingly ok with the 30 minute queue. Then to Ingfield Farm campsite for two nights where we have stopped previously, had to set up the awning tent in very strong winds but were completely successful. Sunday took them on a long country walk in the wind and rain, fortunately fully covered in waterproofs and wellies. The new ladder to the upper sleeping area worked well, even the two-year-old was up and down confidently.

Thank goodness our 3 year old granddaughter doesn't read so well yet, she's mad on Bluey! We'd have been up to Yorkshire faster than you can say Makka Pakka!
