Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Did all the archaeology in this area (top tip - the ports have lists of when Cruise Ships are in so you can avoid the coaches).

Calanais I to III, Dun Carloway Broch, Gearrannan Blackhouse Village (delicious bacon and black pudding roll!), then a bracing coastal walk from Dailbeag, followed by coffee and M&S mini chocolate whips on the beach.

Is that a Quechua 2 seconds popup tent? We've been using one for about 4 years as a 'storage tent' and it's brilliant bit of kit IMHO. Takes Mrs AJ a bit more than 2 seconds to pack it up but not much more than that!

Sure is! Really quick and small when packed. Usually have the Debus canopy up but couldn’t be bothered this time.

Same set up for us but we plan to alternate between the Debus and a Kiravans Railsail depending on circumstances stances. That said, I'm not sure what those circumstances are yet as we've only used the Debus once but I think the Railsail might be a bit more versatile.

Just back home after a 6hr 275m drive from the Lizard in South west Cornwall.
Van behaved beautifully throughout after a cambelt/waterpump change and new front brake discs & pads the week before we left.
Didn't do much driving down there, the house we rent is pretty off grid and the attraction is being right on the beach and coastal path.
Plenty of swimming and walking, bit of fishing, lots of reading and general lounging with the family and dogs.

We are currently in the South of France in Argelès-sur-Mer. The weather has been great for the last few days with temps around 25degC. We planned to move on to Saint-Remy-De-Provence on Sunday but its forecast to hit 32degC on Tuesday.

We’ve spent years going to canet plage. Perfect beaches along there and quiet this time of year. Or a great bike ride to the Spanish border

A wee overnighter to Ardgour and Morvern (turn left as it were S of Fort William and take the wee ferry W across the Corran Narrows) with one of my boys who very definitely asked to go away on an adventure and up a hill - which was nice.
And we had a cracking wee weather window in amongst the terrible summer weather.
And took advantage of it by going up the legendary (and very well named) Garbh Bheinn - it means Rough Mountain!
