Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Did you drive there just for this stop?
No it’s part of a 4 week trip. Stayed in Logroño, Toledo, Cordóba en route.
Staying with friends in their villa at Mijas weds/thursday then Granada for Valentine’s Day then off into the desert to Tabernas, then Murcia, Benidorm to meet some friends for a couple of days then round the coast to France, maybe Perpignan. Then home via Sarlat and Chartres subject to the weather. If French weather looks crap then we’ll stay longer in Spain. Need to be home by the 4th of March.

Auto windscreens for new front screen my 3rd in 5 years all due to debris from poorly maintained road surfaces.
What is happening in your part of the World Dracula’s bats trying to get in through your windscreen or something. Touch wood never lost a screen yet and hoping.

I do travel far a field it's normally when a sporty ass overtakes me the crack of gun fire as it hits the screen makes my wallet jump in my pocket.
The Highlands is where the roads are worst when off the beaten track.

Yesterday we ventured into the Sierra Nevada and up to the ski resorts for some snow pics. Totally rammed and very little snow. Runs being kept open with snow blowers.
Anyway here’s a pic in the forest in the Sierra Nevada somewhere.IMG_7761.jpeg
Had the rest of the day in Guadix and were rudely awakened this morning with this shenanigans on the car park next to the aire.

Today a bit of an explore of the area around Lawers and Killin. Not as much snow as expected - to my relief as even with CC+ I'm missing the reassurance of AWD from the XC70 days but to the disappointment of MrsRT who loves it.

Air temperature near freezing though which gave the butane only stove a bit of an issue, had to keep warming up the canister!

Did eventually manage to make a cuppa after some appropriate sarcasm from the family.

If I could find someone I trusted to cut holes in the van (and seal them against rust!) I'm getting closer to getting budget approval for a cabin heater

If you are passing through Killin highly recommend Shutters for a good coffee, cake and a warm up.

You could have a conversation with Jason from @Absolut5 about fitting a diesel heater. He’s just off the A303 very close to Stonehenge. He’s just done my leisure electrics and the standard of his work is exceptional. He’ll be doing a diesel heater for me when we’ve balanced the books after the leisure upgrade.
Check out the thread titled below (couldn’t work out how to link the quote) on here for a look at what they do. I’m confident you’ll be assured they will take very good care of your van.

All your Audio needs and more... AbsoluT5
