Which? Aftermarket Headlight choices

When i fitted my V3’s i had a bulb error light on the dash and my heart sank. Until i remembered that I had not reconnected the foglights. Did that and everything was tickety boo. Might be worth a quick check to make sure the fogs etc. are are all working. It wouldn’t be the first time a bulb has blown whilst wiring is being played with.
Next on my list is headlight replacement. Have you had any issues since? If you were in my position now Would you Still buy the V3s again or go for something else?? Cheers

I’ve had no issues since. Would I buy the V3’s again. Yes probably.

Hi all,
A bit of advice needed please...
2 years ago, when we bought out T32 Kombi, we noticed pretty early on that the headlights were (without swearing) ...Useless!
I changed the bulbs for much brighter ones but unfortunately, as I have "man hands" and not those of a 3 month old child, I accidently broke the clips off the back that hold the bulbs in. That said, everything worked great until last Saturday when it had its first MOT.... and failed on the headlights not giving a accurate beam.
After VW said that replacing them would cost around £500, we decided to look for aftermarket LED ones and came across the below lights this morning:

https://www.vanstyle.co.uk/van/black-performance-headlights-vanstyle-2015-p-6730.html

Does anyone have these or heard of them and can give advice. They seem cheap, certainly for a pair!

Cheers
Mark

Alternatively, people sometimes give H4s away on here, and you could replace the broken one for minimal (or no) cost!

Once you take the existing ones out someone should be able to fix em up... If they can be arsed. Or just put a bigger candle in it! You could fix it enough to get through the mot?
They're are lots of aftermarket lights out there so have a look around. Vanstyle are good and they are possibly the same as the transporter hq or travelin lite ones. You cant go wrong with any. They're all better than the H4's.
( That said I've not changed mine yet.)

Cheers Sabre,
To be honest, I fancy the upgraded lights and this has just prompted the change.
I'll get it done, especially as they offer a free fitting service.

Hi guys, have any of you heard or bought any of these? Was wondering what the quality was like. They are manufactured by a German company.

Cheers
Andy.

They look to be very similar to the THQ style V2 headlights, meaning LED DRL strip, but with H7 dipped beam lamps, they are not LED headlights.

Diederichs do make LED headlights that are very close to the valeo OEM LED units, but they are near £500 each, as opposed to the £400 or so for the pair above.

I've got something similar from Travelin-lite, you won't regret the change. I find the indicators not as bright as I'd like, don't feel that they project enough, but this is purely subjective, they're probably fine (I've installed switchback indicator bulbs in the fog lights to 'compensate'). If you're able, I'd suggest you pop down to their showroom, they should have or be able to wire them up as a demo

I replaced mine with genuine H7 headlights, big improvement and not that expensive.

Afternoon fellow campers, looking to upgrade the head lights, any Drl recommendations would be appreciated thanks guys
