. These are the bulbs that came with mine
These Philips H7 lamps are not ECE approved. Not for use on public roads and will fail an MOT. Just saying.......
will these fit where the h4 came out of and do I need 4 of them 2 for full beam and 2 for dipped beamThe headlights you have are similar to the ones I suggested. These are the bulbs that came with mine. The do give a lamp out warning, but that can be coded out.

Can always change back for mot I would rather see than not see,but thanks for pointing that outThese Philips H7 lamps are not ECE approved. Not for use on public roads and will fail an MOT. Just saying.......
When i fitted my V3’s i had a bulb error light on the dash and my heart sank. Until i remembered that I had not reconnected the foglights. Did that and everything was tickety boo. Might be worth a quick check to make sure the fogs etc. are are all working. It wouldn’t be the first time a bulb has blown whilst wiring is being played with.Fitted THQ vs 2 headlights and have the same issue DESPITE their website saying " no errors will show " !. Don't believe them. Now I have to book it in to VW once this madness is over to have it sorted. ( Absolut5 had a look for me to see if it could be reset via VCDS , but no go ). Very disappointed, after spending £500 for headlights and fog light replacements to upgrade the OEM " candlelights ".
Would have thought Absolut5 have loads of VCDS experience really. Very surprised they said nothing could be done for me, esp. considering I'd also just spent a fortune for a new head unit and reversing camera with them !!I don’t think VW will be any help, they will prob say to put it back to standard to fix it, in my experience.
You need someone with VCDS with experience of doing this sort of stuff to turn off the bulb monitoring or anything else causing it then you will be good to go.
I had bulb warning issues as it wasn’t coded correctly, everything worked but I had a main beam relay fault code, turned off the bits for that (wasn’t in the bulb monitoring) and now sorted.
