Which? Aftermarket Headlight choices

The headlights you have are similar to the ones I suggested. These are the bulbs that came with mine. The do give a bulb out warning, but that can be coded out.

Recommendations please: LED DRL and Headlights for my T6...seen a few companies selling them, any reviews or pics would be great. Looking at travelinlite and Transporter HQ any others to consider?

Im sick of the rubbish headlights on my 2018 t6, im looking for a set of nice (cool) headlights. Am after a simple plug in and play unit and im looking to spend upto around the £500 mark for them. Whats actually a good set out there?

There are lots of options but its hard to know what ones are good quality and which are cheap rubbish.

Thanks for any recommendations youse have

I recently fitted some upgraded headlight units with projector type dipped beams.
They work really well, but I decided to fit some Nightbreaker Laser White bulbs, the only problem is, they are not as bright as the original bulbs (Chinese 55w H7 standards).
Has anyone else had this problem????????

Fitted mine (Travelinlite units) almost exactly 1 year ago and have the same thing. I believe, as you say, that's it's juts a case of disabling the warning lamp in VCDS.

My first MoT is due in May so I need to find someone to do this.

Fitted THQ vs 2 headlights and have the same issue DESPITE their website saying " no errors will show " !. Don't believe them. Now I have to book it in to VW once this madness is over to have it sorted. ( Absolut5 had a look for me to see if it could be reset via VCDS , but no go ). Very disappointed, after spending £500 for headlights and fog light replacements to upgrade the OEM " candlelights ".

When i fitted my V3’s i had a bulb error light on the dash and my heart sank. Until i remembered that I had not reconnected the foglights. Did that and everything was tickety boo. Might be worth a quick check to make sure the fogs etc. are are all working. It wouldn’t be the first time a bulb has blown whilst wiring is being played with.

I don’t think VW will be any help, they will prob say to put it back to standard to fix it, in my experience.

You need someone with VCDS with experience of doing this sort of stuff to turn off the bulb monitoring or anything else causing it then you will be good to go.
I had bulb warning issues as it wasn’t coded correctly, everything worked but I had a main beam relay fault code, turned off the bits for that (wasn’t in the bulb monitoring) and now sorted.

Thanks for the replies. I was very careful with the retrofit to make 100% sure every connection was sound and clicked together. It helped having the jacks with both front wheels off and I will repeat the process this coming week as I have SO much free time on hand. Might as well triple / quadriple check everything again ! Cheers

Would have thought Absolut5 have loads of VCDS experience really. Very surprised they said nothing could be done for me, esp. considering I'd also just spent a fortune for a new head unit and reversing camera with them !!
