Which Is The Best Dash Cam ???

All I removed is radio surround, left vent and left cup holder that’s enough to get from door to fusebox

This may have been asked already but has anyone had issues with rear dash cam’s when used with tinted rear windows ? Just about to order a rear camera but I have blacked out rear glass and wonder if I will need to remove (if possible) a section to allow for the camera to function correctly.

Yes I have the same thing and I found the image when it was dull or dark suffered a bit so I cut a tiny circle in the film directly in front of the lens. You can’t tell from outside and you have to look carefully behind the camera to see it from the inside.

I have used this Hard Wire Kit for my Nextbase 512GW. I wanted to use a genuine Nextbase product and this works fine.

Wired in using piggy back fuse holder that is supplied. Both sizes of piggy back fuse holder are included in the kit - just chose the correct one for the T6.

Today was the first time driving since I installed the Thinkware F770. Can someone tell me why its beeping at me constantly?? ding-ding...ding-ding. I get the speed camera warnings which are fine but these are just beeps with no explanation. It seems to be random too (initially I thought it was a warning when you got to the speed limit but it was happening on the motorway at 30mph whilst stuck in traffic).

Could it be the collision warning or lane change warning system? If so I need to disable it

Yes, connect the app to it and disable all alarms or they'll drive you nuts!

hello, ok so never really been a fan of them but having had one wing mirror smashed off (luckily they came back and owned up) and then a second “let’s just drag my wing mirror down the side of someone’s vehicle” incident, I feel it might be a good idea...

Any recommendations? and how easy to fit - where’s best to tap in for a parking mode live feed.

I like the look of the Blackvue ones but only because it would probably hide behind the mirror - any comments?.

Thanks Matt

Happy with the Nextbase 512 on our T6. It gives a large digital readout on the rear screen showing real-time MPH based on GPS, which I find useful. I believe you can now get a compatible rear-view dashcam to work with the front-facing 512, but I haven't investigated further. The 512's picture is very clear.

I got my dashcam at Halfords, who quickly and efficiently hard-wired it - took them about 30 minutes, and cost about £30. I also have the Nextbase 312 on our car - picture isn't quite so good, but still quite acceptable.

Both have been reliable over the past year or so. Occasionally, they unstick themselves from the windscreen, especially in hot weather, but it's no big deal to stick them back on.

Got Thinkware front and rear cameras on both my van and my car. Easy enough to fit myself and I’ve found them so good it wouldn’t occur to me to look for another make next time.

Hi, tagging on to this thread rather than starting another.

Anyone using a front cam that doesn't obscure view too much? - I don't see the point of having lots of things stuck on the windscreen!

Also, do any of these cameras have a flush rear cam, would be good to integrate into rear locker.

We are having our van converted next week, so probably a good idea to get this sorted soon rather than later as easier to fit during I guess...

Which models, and where do you have them? Did you manage to tuck wires away neatly to the devices?

Mine are the old F750 which have been superceded twice now since then, but I have found no reason to upgrade. I'll take some pics

Was wondering if I could use their external one in the rear locker as being a camper we will have a blind on back window...

Some pics of your windscreen one would be really helpful - considering how small/thin smart phones are in surprises there aren’t any very discrete solutions out there...

Anyone know if you can tap in and use the reversing camera as the rear cam with say a Thinkware?

The rear Thinkware is the horizontal cylinder on the right, the small one is the reversing camera for the 360 system. The front one I never see as I always drive with sunvisors down in whatever vehicle I'm in.
