Who’s Mapped Their 150s?!

I need my 102BMT van remapping. It struggles to pull my trailer and race car up hill. On the motorway it drops to 45mph on the hills.

Racevans / customvanz offer a remap from 102 to 205bhp. Any reason why I shouldn't do this? The torque increase will help towing.

I too am considering a remap - have same 102 engine. My van is a Camper - thus has been a big investment. My main concern is the 5 speed gearbox is weak (as only spot welded?) thus perhaps more prone to issues/failure. I was looking at a Pendle remap.

Last thing I want is large bills due to remap causing component failures... But would love a van that pulls with no effort...

Lets see what peoples thoughts are...

205bhp isn't much these days and 250lbs/ft isn't that much. I do long motorway driving, not stop start driving in a hilly area.
Yes, the 5speed box is a concern and I miss the 6th gear I had in my T5. I always think if something breaks, its an opportunity to upgrade (6sp box or DSG)

I know where Bognor motors are, I thought they were only a rental company.

Nooo.
Although that is possibly the main part of the business, they are a garage too, Sales, Servicing, MOT all the normal garage stuff, but specialise in other stuff like what they did to my T6. B14 and H&R anti roll bars, plus full set up, and of course Revo Re-map.

No, i'm nothing to do with them, but i'm ultra fussy who touches my van, and I trusted them to carry out a few thousand pounds worth of work, and they excelled. So, i'm more than happy to recommend them, as i'm sure other will do shortly.

Can anybody help me out just after getting my new T6 back from the logo designer and first time driving in the dark I ordered Vw led front and rear but I can’t get my head around why I am seeing a spectrum colour of the led lights at the side of the ditch of a B road on either side it’s basically in line with side of my face and i can get this blur in the side of my eyes coming from the spectrum colour is this the Vw standard ?? I still have a mercedes Vito which has led front and rear and never had this problem
And when the full beam is on there is like a line in the middle of the road be good to hear your views on this

Start a new thread dude, it isn't relevant to this existing thread. :)

Yes give us a call about a re-map :)

And ref mapping a 102, the torque is kept to a sensible level to protect the gearbox.

Remember with REVO you get a 30 day money back guarantee
Oli, have you revo-mapped a 204bitdi yet?, if so what was it like?, was it a dsg?
Also I've noticed that lots of the revo maps have a corresponding dsg- remap, but not the T6; will this happen do you think?
I think revo is a first class mapper for a VAG products; I've used others before, but not again.
Looking to get a V6 tdi Amarok revo-mapped soon; now that is a serious remap.......

Hello Chris

Yes we've done a few now, manual and dsg. Transforms it. Very smooth and OE in the power delivery - Feels more like you've lost vehicle weight than added power (if that makes sense - And IMHO thats how a remap should feel - Not spikey in its delivery at all)

They haven't released a DSG map, but thats not to say they won't.

And yes the Amarok remap, makes it a weapon! 0-60 in 6.6 secs or so!

Hi, we're thinking of the same re-map with our new T6. Now we've converted it we're virtually pushing it up hills! Saw the extra £2.5k for the 140hp a bit steep. I've heard warranty will be invalidated so will probably wait until it expires.

thoughts?

Hi

I will be collecting my Caravelle next week which is a 68 plate 150BHP DSG, I was looking for a 204 but could not find the right one so I have decided to buy the 150 and have it re-mapped.

Revo seems favourite to me a their Uckfield workshop is no too far away and they seem to get good reviews.

I would be grateful if anyone can give me their reviews on the Revo re-maps for the 150 engine.

Thanks

I’ve enquired about a revo remap on my 150 bhp t6, they said I’d get between 180-190 bhp but mentioned that the turbos are weak?? Should I be worried anyone had or heard of issues??

I’ve not heard this TBF. We’ve done a few with zero issues. A decent remap will keep everything within tolerances

What are you so far away :-( it’s an authorised revo dealer that’s going to do it would it be the same map you run or are they all different ?

Just to ressurect this thread. I went to get my T6 102ps van remapped the other day and was advised against a Revo remap because they said they've had reports (specific to 102ps vans) of melting the turbos. Is this true?
My converted 102 lacks the midrange now its been converted so I wanted to get it done. Obviously there's always a risk with remapping but I've heard only good things about Revo so I'm surprised that they haven't yet got a workaround?
