Who’s Mapped Their 150s?!

Everyone recommends Reimo and Pendle, both come out at mid 190's after remap and are complimented on driveability. I intend to go down this route when my warranty runs out.

If you want more power still you are probably taking bigger chances with reliability issues.

Besides it's a van not a lotus and will never go around bends that well.

Pendle re-map is great, torque much better matched to DSG box. Pick up is great, hesitation from standstill has gone.

A much nicer driving experience.

Although i don't need more power, I'm happy with the 150 as it is. Does re-mapping increase fuel efficiency?

Remap the 150 yes.
I'm on a pendle map. 187bhp and 320lbft it's so much better to drive.

However i wouldn't recommend a T6 to anyone. It's an absolute unreliable, thirsty turd.
29mpg max over 62k miles. Drives nice when its working. It was unreliable and thirsty before the map and unreliable and thirsty after the map.

Where the electric transporter or ID buzz already.

It feels like it, with a more efficient engine and much more torque, the vehicle is much less stressed and does not have to work as hard.

I haven't really tested the fuel economy, but I think it may use a little less, it's certainly much nicer to drive.

It is NOT about more power and going faster, speak with Martin at Pendle if you really want an informed opinion? He is very knowledgeable about the T6 and all VWs.

My local performance company said its different with every van, some need the gearbox mapping others don’t, he said it’s all down too the torque limiter on the van ?

That doesn’t make sense. It’s all about clutch clamping pressure, speed of changes, gearbox torque limits and gearchange characteristics.

No vehicles need it, but makes a massive difference when you drive it - the gearbox isn’t trying to get into 7th by 35mph anymore.....

So a pendle map does not remap your gearbox as well? First I've heard about a gearbox map

Would anyone recommend remapping T6 150bhp. Had a quote of £180 for a Stage 1 using remapuk maps. Please see attached data.
Any recommendations?

I had my 150 remapped at Pendle last year.
The before figures were 165BHP & 350Nm which equates to 258Lb*ft
After were 195BHP & 418Nm which equates to 308Lb*ft. so I'm a bit dubious about their claim to get to 334Lb*ft/450Nm and do it safely.
The feeling is so different post tuning, it just keeps accelerating when you put your foot down, I certainly wouldn't want to go back to stock now.
Here's a combined printout, you can see where the power keeps coming after 1500 rpm.
