Hi there, EGR sensor 1 or 'A' refers to the main EGR body (Remove the plug on top then retest, it will say 'lost communication with EGR sensor 1' or similar.) Sensors 2 and 3 are for exaust and ex gas recirc temps. Hope this helps

Is there any reason you continue to use Vw as opposed to an indipendant ?
