AdBlue Discussion and Issues

Interestingly my 150 was showing 4500 miles range on the adblue when I picked it up. When I had managed to put a1000 miles on the clock it changed up to 5000miles? Just watching to see what happens next...
Mine did exactly he same mate, nearly done 2000 in the van and it's gone back to 4500 for the adblue.

I was showing 4500 when new too but it never went up (lucky you)

after 3500 miles still had a adblue range of 1800 though

Just put a full 10 litres today, still not quite full but now showing a 6000 mile range

Paid £12.50 for 10 litres (VW wanted £7 for less than 2 litres bottle) so think I got bargain?

Call round and check prices, I get the best price from the Mercedes truck dealer which is .58 ppl inc the vat. Thy have a large tank and just fill it up like a petrol pump so no sodding about with drums from Halfords etc.

.58p per litre !!!!!! I feel ripped off with my £12.50 for 10ltr now (thought I'd got a bargain :()

Euro car parts have adblue on offer every now and again and last month I bought 3x10L for £28 with free delivery and stocked up..
If you do let it run out you can't restart it.

Just posted this on the other California site.

Not sure if its been mentioned on here but check out:

Distribution 365

20L for £18.90 free shipping for over £10 apparently.

I cannot find a pump local to me yet. The http://www.findadblue.com/ site seems to be out of date and what is there is incorrect.

So cheap too.

Been using adblue for a few years now in agri machines the only problem with it is if you get the slightest amount of dirt in the tank and I mean microscopic amount! Other than that no issues what so ever!

Was speaking to my business partner about this earlier as we are both taking delivery of T6's next Friday, this is what he found and sent to me. Hope it helps.

Looks like VW will fill it for free?

The 25-30 litre AdBlue® tank will be refilled free of charge by the Volkswagen Van Centre network and authorised repairers during the first three years

Except our tanks are 15L is that size for the Crafters?

Yeah it looks like the Crafter tank is larger but should that matter?
They said the same for the 2016 Touareg and was a marketing ploy, as you still had to pay for the adblue at 1.50 per ltr

O.k, so as my Kombi has been upgraded from Euro 5 140 to Euro 6 150, I've now got Adblue to get my head around, so this is a question to those in the know- how long does the 12 litres last and what would happen if you run out of Adblue? Can the engine still run on diesel only?
Bit of a noob question I know!
Hi. If you have your mdf showing range for fuel if you scroll down you get m.p.g if you scroll up you get range for ad blue. As the level drops it gives you a minimum amount to top up and a max. So far I've only used the VW TO Top up
10Litres £13.00. I also got their clever filler. You screw it onto the filler opening and onto the top of the container. No spillage at all. Very neat idea.
