Minimum tyre load rating for my van is 99 have a t28 with both axle loads at 1550kg. The tyres that are on are 103 load rating. Cheers
Cool, so you've got plenty of flexibility with your tyre loadings.
How do you use the van re-loadings?. Do you think you can run close to the vans max loadings?

It's basically used as a family car,I've never had much weight in the back, the most it has ever had is 3 mountain bikes a few suitcases and general clutter i took on holiday last year. No plans to convert to a camper or anything like that

What does your tyre pressure jamb sticker say on your van?
Does it have various tyre/wheel combinations?
I would set the front tyres using this sticker with the closest possible tyre (is there a 235/55/17 option? for a T28?)

Then try to match the rear tyre bulge with the front tyres. I'm guessing your rears will not need too much pressure.

Yea, there is a 235 55 17 option (didn't notice that earlier) it suggests 44/48 up front, 36/48 out back.

I was originally goint to go down the same pressures as when i had 275 35 20s which was 36 front and back as when i had them at 40 front and back i got uneven wear on the centre treads.

So It would seem 44front; 36rear may look like a good starting place?
It would be interesting to check these out when you are carrying your bikes etc, and see if the bulge in the bottom of tyres looks/measure the same front & back.

Any reason why?? Not a good idea?

I am mental

I liked them but just didn't like the look of the van in 'swamper' mode so have decided, because I preferred the look, to revert to lowered with 19s or 20s but this time spend some money on decent coilovers rather than cheap cobra lowering springs.
