ID Buzz

Interesting developments today at CRS. IDBuzz. Anyone fancy some info on these new vehicles? New Addition to our fleet. As a devotee to petrol cars , I have been very critical of the battery cars and poorly thought out infrastructure which is needed to make this work . BUT ! I have to say that the way these ID Buzz vehicles drive is simply joyous , smooth , quiet and quick ..??
BUT. In true CRS fashion , we can’t leave well alone , so today the transition began. Today we went from Stage one to game over in one simple move ,
The installation is pretty much as simple as any other transporter and it’s always lovely to work on new cars . With in 2 hours we had established the best way to do the job and actually completed it ,. The new addition to our amazing range of suspension kits is designed for the ID Buzz and delivers on all levels , quality of finish , height range and performance are all brilliant . Very well priced and 2 year warranty .

That must be one of the first suspension upgrade on the ID Buzz done in this country?

I can’t wait until someone puts a pop-top on one

It’s been done by someone. Can’t remember which camper company it is unfortunately ,
I am sure it’s the first coil over fitted to a Buzz in UK. , Our competitors have fitted springs only as far as I can tell. Some of the videos should be on Netflix Though ha ha.

The more I see them the better they grow on me especially when top engineers get hold of them and make them look even better
Well done Steve great set up and work.
They are growing on me, although until the infrastructure is in place or the range increases they don’t make sense.

Don’t get me wrong I am now a fan.

A friend has a New Buzz. I had a look around and quite like how it looks. I see his has a bench passenger seat. I felt the front under the cloth and noticed hinges. But we could get it to open. Do they (benches) all open or is there some lock mechanism we didn't find? My T6 was simple, just pull up the front and flip fwd.

In case you’ve missed our build details on our BMVS thread - so far on the Buzz we’ve got a big brake solution, steering wheel options, wrap options, paint upgrades, spring and Coilover suspension options, wheels , leather seat upgrades with GTI and Supersport seats, and full hifi upgrades for both the people carrier and the Cargo.

We've covered nearly 10,000 miles in our buzzes and we absolutely love them. We’ve also got them for sale - modified and standard, as well as vehicles on our rental fleet.

The standard Discs are 360 mm i think, what size are you using in those vehicles ?? , I find because there is no engine braking the brakes aren't particularly sharp.

Look like the classic VAGBremtechnic/ Aston Brembo setup, they are good for 360mm (VBT logo on the disc bell is a giveaway - its likely their 362x32 2 piece disc kit))

So if these are based on the Sharan platform, is there ever going to be any Transporter size versions of these?

Here’s me thing that EV manufacturers were obviously going to be utilising regenerative braking to increase efficiency. o_O
