Multiple Engine Management Faults

Gutted for you. Have been keeping an eye on this thread for a while. Surely time to swap the van. Get it sent back and let them rip ot apart to find the actual fault instead of messing you around..

It's just getting silly tell them where to poke it, if their techs can't sort it you must be on for a replacement vehicle?

I think a replacement is the next move (thats all i would accept now) but with the work you have done on the vehicle i dont no how that works  ..... feel for you kid

Not good @Twoguns, they have had mine for a week now, called me Thursday to explain they have changed what the diagnostics advise and it still faults. All they can do is offer me a vehicle until Vw technical have advised next step.

No vans available until tomorrow possibly, only a manual estate ( which he wasn't sure if it could carry an 8x4 sheet ) looks like I'll be walking until they find a DSG!!!!!

I did tell them to fix it in the next week or ask Vw to make an offer to purchase it back. If neither can be done sign a waiver so we can drive until it goes bang at their risk.

And to think they asked you to think of a figure for suitable compensation. I guess another zero has just been added.
Time to dump it on the head of UK VWCV's driveway. Get lots more pictures of it on a low loader and then start going to the media because they appear inept at doing the job that is expected of them.
I'm guessing its going to be a very early morning call to your chap with the "weight to get this sorted".
What a joke.

Sign write it with your issues then park outside of the dealers next to the entrance and dont move it until they agree to replace your van and reimburse your modifications. Could phone the local paper as well..

It certainly worked for the Indian ambassador chap with the Range Rover outside the dealership in Mayfair.
I'm sure VWBus and VWT would be interested.

Thanks for all your support and kind words guys, it means alot. Unfortunately the VWCV guy is on holiday until 25th Apr and the Finance guy has just had a baby so is probably away for 2 weeks so I'll just have to go through what has now become a weekly routine of getting the VW assist Tech guy out Wednesday or Thursday, he will plug in to show same code. Then the rest of the day will be wasted waiting for recovery and replacement car to be dropped off.

As to what I'm going to do, I just don't know. I've spent between 8-10K on conversion which they say they haven't got to cover but I have not pressed this yet as I wanted it fixed but now I'm not sure if I even want to own a van. A replacement van is out of the question really, as I'm not willing to go through this and the hassle of converting again.

What I think I will do at this point is tell them I have been MORE than reasonable and given them more than enough opportunities to fix this which they have clearly shown they are not capable of fixing their own vehicles. I'll tell them I want all the money i paid for the van back and compensation for the money spent on the conversion. This is where I think I will hit a brick wall. So I think my only option then is to seek advise from the ombudsman as I have no idea of my rights in this situation. Fun times ahead me thinks.

@Twoguns The time has come that VW must not stand on their dignity and should recompense you fully for all that you have done to improve the van at your own extra expense. Let's face it, you have not had a happy customer experience and your van has been, to put it bluntly, a real dog. It needs to go back to the Factory for tear down to see what has gone wrong with it because, clearly, they have tried all they know and it hasn't cured the problem(s). Your rights are to be sold a vehicle that is fit for purpose.

Wow.

Really sorry to hear you're having these issues buddy.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a 150 dsg but am wavering now!

Hi twoguns, I've been following this intently as I am hoping to buy a t6 caravelle this year. I am gobsmacked at the issues you're currently experiencing. Looks like I'll be avoiding the 150bhp dsg! Keep the faith mate, you'll come good in the end.
