Power Latching retrofit

I think my electric side doors have power latch when it closes, at least that what appears to happen when it shuts, is that any help for some pictures for the location of the box @Pauly may be the same as @carlg power latching side doors ?

If you are talking about the perm 12V supply then yes, all power latching modules are fed from the same fuse SC44 - 20A
There is an earth post adjacent to the modules behind rear panel if reqd so should be pretty straightforward for you

Does anybody have a picture of an existing module factory fitted in situ ??
The only thing holding me back at the moment is that the mounting bracket for the control module is on back order from Germany so i dont know exactly where the module sits, i need a definite position as i have made my wiring loom extra long ATM, when i have the position i can trim down the cables, measure & reproduce

I will take a photo when I get home as my pannel is off and I can see the motor

The main one is the control module with the 8 wire plug connected to it, want to see how/where it fixes in place but snaps of the SLD latching motor would be good too as thats next up

Rear single tailgate at the moment but I like the idea of adding it to the single side door at a later date. Unless you think it would be more prudent to do them both at the same time.

Thanks for the offer but your setup is different, as you have full electric you dont have the control module in question yours has an alternative unit in a different location

Ordered the parts for slide door power latching today, hoping they arrive this week so i can have a play the weekend
Also ordered two sets of parts for tailgate kits so hoping to have them ready soon

Price is going to be £330 inc vat for tailgate kit
If slide door setup is successful price will be more as parts are more expensive will update when i have got it fitted

Trying to put the finishing touches to the power latching bits but need to find a route from tailgate striker plate to rear inner wing
Can anyone tell me if there is any holes in the rear floor near the wheel jack area/tailgate area as I have put soundproofing on the floor and don't want to pull up bits I don't need too looking for one
Anyone got a picture of a T6 floor with no covering on it ??

Had look @Pauly but there are no holes in the floor pan around that area i can see mate

Only from memory, but it goes across the top of the floor and into the inner arch from the outside! It looks pretty ugly to be honest. I'll try to get some photos tomorrow.

Thats exactly how i have done mine but thought that will do temporarily until i figure out how VW route the cable, i assumed it went down through floor and back up inside rear quarter

Think i will make my own hole to run it through

So the good news is i have now completed my power latching project, tailgate and left slider both done
Im over the moon with the slider as its been such a massive PITA since day one, door now shuts so much easier and no more getting out and walking around when one of the kids fails to slam it hard enough to shut and childlock stops them having a second go.
