Retrofitting Electric seats

Novice question, I think I know the answer, but .......

Is it possible to fit heated seats to a t6 that doesn’t have them already?

I’m assuming it’s not that straight forward. You will need a button on your dash to turn them on! So you’ll need power to that & a suitable button

(I hope this works:))

If I read this right, I can change my swivel heated seats, which are too high for me, for power adjustable, heated seats and the kufatec makes it plug n play?

Pretty much, mine not swivel and I wired them to the leisure battery. The only issues I had was not knowing the electric caravelle seats require adaptor rails to fit the kombi seat base, make sure you get them with the seats, I was another £90 for the pair. Most of the second hand electric seats seem to be from lhd vehicles so if memory the buttons end up on the passenger side and you dont have the seat belt on sensor. At some point I will probably swap the seat bases over to sort this. Defo a nice upgrade much more comfort and loads of adjustment.

May I ask how much did you pay for yours? And where did you get them from?

I was originally going to go for the manual adjustment thinking it would be way cheaper but there isn't much difference. I've emailed Kernow Transporters with a few Q's reference swapping caravelle swivels over. I'll update the thread if I get anything back.

I used t5cotswold, good guys, they advertise on ebay but you are better to call or text karl direct, prices are better. I think I paid about £2000 for mine including delivery to the highlands but they didn't supply rails and it was cheaper to go direct to local dealer for them. Initially i thought it was stupidly expensive but once i took the sale of my original seats in it wasn't so bad when you looked at cost of re trimming the original seats in leather and the caravelle seats are defo more comfortable.

Apparently the manual adjustment seats offer more height adjustability than the electric ones, either should be a straight swap though.

Electric ones give you height adjustment at front and rear off the seat if that's makes sense, nice if you are a short a** like me.

Just been to my local VW Van Centre and these are the current part numbers for the memory switch and the trim panel for the drivers seat (RHD)

I have that panel for that if you want it, when I looked into it didnt appear to be a simple job to transfer the memory module across I decided not to bother.

Afternoon Kiter
I'm going to leave it to an auto electrician I know to work that out

Best regards

Has anyone used the kufatec memory seats harness adapter?

I bought it along with two heated/electric adjustable (and memory) seats taken from a caravelle as fitted by another above.

Most of the plugs fit and instructions make sense however there are some short 'lugs' of cable which are supposed to connect into a fuse box under the drivers seat - but my T6 has no such fuse box...? The only one I can find is in the area below the gear knob where the harness won't reach and the instructions don't describe.

Help please...
