Reversing camera retrofit (OEM)

Hi do you have to have PDC fitted to the vehicle to upgrade to a reverse camera and have it as per factory? I am thinking of buying a shuttle and I don't think it has front and rear parking a sensors. It does however have front sensors for active cruise control that automatically brakes the vehicle up to 90mph if you're too close.

No PDC is not required, camera just needs to be cut in, wires run in and connected and it works but does require coding/programming to activate

Guidance lines on my T6 OE rear camera are static, won't turn with the steering input of the vehicle, so not sure what your on about @Andrew Todd ?

IMG_6462.JPG On my Q7 as you turned the wheel the guidance lines moved to show you direction of travel, just like the attached image. Do the T6 cameras not do the same?

Yes the camera will work, thats the same unit i have in my van and have already added a camera to that

Do you know if after fitting a rear camera whether there is an AV space to feed a TV module like a Fiscube into and then be able to flash over a TV in Motion code.

Dont think so, there are no inputs on the rear like you would get on an aftermarket headunit, the camera wiring connects directly into the quadlock connector on the rear

Ok thanks for info.....that's different to what I had in the Q7 as well then, as I had reverse camera as factory fit but was able to add an after market Fiscube TV module to it too. I then flashed the screen with TV in Motion!

Can a AV TV module like Fiscube be added to them even if they have a rear camera installed Adams?

I'm not sure about them being added tbh, VCP is another software/lead like VCDS but has a lot of other uses, quite a lot harder to use than VCDS and very easy to ruin something with it if you don't know what your doing with it, but if you do is a lot more powerful tool

Hi, i want to add a rear camera to work in conjunction with my display and parking sensors, so it will work, look and function exactly as a factor fitted unit, I am happy to fit myself, so could somebody please advise where the best place to buy such a kit from please?

Thanking you in advance.
