Hi, looking at putting led spot lights in our camper but are we looking for something that doesn't exist

3 x dimmable, touch operated, low profile, warm white led spot lights

Any suggestions where we can buy these

Thanks

Hi all i see lots of people putting led touch lights in there head lining! Wheres the best place to get them from and are they easy to fit?

No idea about fitting but forum shop sells them so should be perfect for the job

They look exactly what im looking for could anyone clarify if i can wire these to the current head lining light power so they come on when i open the doors?

Hi all,

I searched for the answer to this, but didn't really find what I needed.
I am insulating / lining the rear of a new van (Kombi T6) and at the same time I want to add 4 to 6 led downlighters, switched independently from the existing courtesy lights. so I guess I'm asking:
1. Where is the best permanent 12v feed accessible in the rear of the van when the trim panels are removed - wire colours extremely gratefully received?
2. Which fuse is it in line with?
3. I've seen a few surface mount light and switch packages online (most of them dirt cheap), can anyone recommend some that you have used?
Many thanks in advance
Matt.

Could you not connect to the existing courtesy light circuit? I'm guessing you don't have a leisure battery. Red/Black is +ve and Brown/red is -ve. This circuit will time out eventually to prevent you flattening your starter battery.

You'll find these wires in the loom that runs from the windscreen along the passenger side roof line.

Thanks for that, but I don't want the time out live, being led's the power draw will be low and these lights are intended for reading or making tea etc in the back of what will be a day van conversion (so with a bed etc). Isn't there a permanent feed to the courtesy lights too (in addition to the timed live?), if so that would be pretty straightforward to splice into I should think?

No there isn't. There is permanent -ve, Switched -ve and +12v that stays live for between 20 to 60 minutes after unlocking or door open depending on whether you have incandescent or led courtesy lighting already.

As far as I know the only accessories in the back of the van that have a feed from terminal 30 (constant live) are the sliding door motors and power tailgate module, everything else will be ign switched.

Cheers Deaky, was getting confused with switched -ve, not +ve. , I've just found this online - can anyone else confirm? obviously I can look myself when I remove the trim panels, but wanted to be ahead of the game if possible. The original post didn't know where it was fed from (which fuse) but said it was permanent 12v not connected to anything - maybe for power latching of tailgate (not on this van maybe) as mentioned above by Deaky (terminal 30 permanent live?)

Hmmm, that might be in a van with towbar prep

I'll have a look this weekend and let you know if it's on my vans, could be helpful to others later on maybe. Cheers, Matt
Hi Guys, just got round to taking the panels off one of the new vans and unfortunately there is no permanent 12v feed unlike in the picture above, so maybe it is only there on the tow bar prep specced vans. So, i need to run the led's from the existing courtesy light wiring. I've had the multimeter on the switch wiring and I found that the brown/black wire appears to be -ve, but both of the other wires were 12v when i switched the lamp to "on". Can someone tell me which colour wire is the timed 12v +ve please? the two other wires are brown and red/black by the looks of things?
