I may be going against the trend in this thread thread but personally I’ve driven various vans all my life and my 6.1 is the nicest van I’ve had. I think the closest other brand would be the Vito I had before this one but when I got in this van for a test drive I immediately loved it. - Just my opinion.

Seems the workers, via their union reps, have got a deal to prevent any plant closures in Germany until the end of 2030 at least…
No lay offs of the 120k employees in that time and even a pay deal. Not bad going considering how bad it looked at one point. Link
As I said before though having the state and Porsche as backers gives them a fair bit of security.
Although they're still being bent over for tens of billions in various jurisdiction around the world over dieselgate so they aren't out the woods by a long way.
To be fair VW are alleged have spent a lot of time recalibrating things like suspension rates, steering feelm etc, to set it apart from the Ford and bestow it with a more VW feel.
I'd love to be able to judge it agajnst the good performing but flimisly made and fragile engined outgoing Transit, but realistically I'd have to wait until I've had a chance to examine one up close to make a meaningful judgement.
