The Ford | T7 Conundrum

I probably wouldn’t have mentioned this if the EV chat hadn’t threatened to destroy an otherwise decent thread 😅 😂 But I’ll try & bring it back on track a bit with something I’ve been wondering about recently.

Im interested to see how THQ, or any other businesses whose eggs are firmly placed in the Transporter Modification basket, will move forward…

If the current public opinion persists (and I’ve not seen any real change in the disgust from the communities on any Social Media pages) & that transpires to low enthusiast uptake on the new Transporter, I’d imagine the costly production of upgrades for that particular model won’t prove to be very profitable either. Fleet and lease markets won’t be interested in the bolting on of various aesthetic upgrades.

I wonder if the focus will remain on bringing new items for the T6 & T6.1 (good news for a lot of us here I guess) and still mainly cater to the die hards. But ultimately that would be on what will soon start to become an ageing platform.

Interesting months ahead I’m sure…

If there's a comparison to be made look at the original Landrover Defender (pre 2016 ish), a vehicle with a similar following.
Values for decent ones held up very well after it was discontinued and still do.
There are still plenty of aftermarket spares, accessories and mods available 9 years later.

100%

I’m not implying they risk going out of business or anything crazy like that. More a case of wondering whether the focus stays with us still on the T Series, & new products will continue to come as frequently as they already do. Or if we’ll see a need for a change in direction & target audience to accommodate other brands
