I was, but finances only allow me to do it one bit at a time. So this month I can do amp, then next month or one after the speakers. Or vice versa.

Kenwood Amp with Addison purchased. Thanks for advice etc Jason. Makes sense to protect what I have until I can buy the speakers.

That little amp has provided me with other benefits, I'd penciled in the passenger seat for amp etc. Now I have more room, I may dump the consumer unit in there. It currently houses my oem Jack. or poss a small sub in teh future.

I have been PMing you about getting my fronts upgraded with the focals and an amp. I hadn’t considered that it would drive the rears too. I have 13cm pioneers at the back, would these the amp output and if so can I keep the fader? If not can the amp just be wired to the fronts and leave the rears unaltered so you keep the fade function? What’s the options?

This amp will drive the rears as well, plus it has a built in crossover so you can dial out the bass and allow them to ply cleaner and louder,

You can retain the fader by having the optional Audison USS4 added on to it

I’m afraid they will not fit, you cannot fit anything bigger than the standard 6.5”

@Luke78 - did you run the Eaton speakers with an amp or just from the original Vw head unit?

Just from head unit, I like my music loud and they are fine for me (but haven’t heard them with amp)
Wouldn’t need them any louder but not sure if amp would improve quality too

Is the cost of the Kenwood amp & Audison uss4 worth it to drive the Eaton F2.1's and a set of Focal rears or are they ok on their own?
I know its probably subjective, but I'd rather take your expert advice than waste cash.

@moomin-j I installed Rainbow 8.2's....the amp and Audison has turned them into something special.....I would defo recommend the amp and the Audison for the fader.... @Absolut5 knows his onions Thanks Jason

I say definitely a yes, the amp will drive the door woofers for greater depth. and it sounds cleaner.

im not a big fan of amping the rears , but this amp has front and rear gain so you can set it just right

I'm tempted too - How easy is the amp to fit?

I have got a DMX8019DABS and the Eton T6.1 speakers with the loom supplied by your good self

Just plug the main loom in and 2 sets of rca cables, couldn’t be easier

Where does it fit? I don't think I have much space behind the head unit...

Theres a load of room behind the upper glove box. Just thread the loom from head unit. Its relatively easy.
