How about -
SpareSafe – VW T5/T6 California Spare Wheel locking Device (inc Security Wheel Bolt) SS1 – Everything VW California
Similar systems available on the bay, uses standard VW security bolt but the head is shrouded to prevent mole grips or similar

Yeh think this is what I'm going to have to shell out for. Is what I recon I was going to get before I now have to shell out for a new wheel...

If only I was made aware of this being an issue when I brought it, it would have been sorted a few days after getting the van...

Hi, I feel for you
I had some pr...k steal mine last month
It had never been took out and I did wonder how hard it would be to remove
Must have been easy as it was took in middle of night , never heard a thing

I had to buy a old wheel off eBay and I got a locking bolt and shroud from the forum shop. (Seems good quality, and would take some getting off )
When they see the old t5 spare under there I don’t think they would bother!

As mentioned in an earlier thread, I also have a pack of tyre threads I keep in van, so using spare will be last resort, especially as I have 20’s on and spare is a 16” wheel ( with a high profile tyre)
Hope you get this sorted
Jason

It's happened again FFS, this time with an added locking bolt, exactly the same parking place as last time.
I street park in London on a street opposite my gaff that has some big houses on it with 24 security eyeballs.
Spoke to the guard and he saw nothing, wouldn't mind betting it's him at it.

Apart from putting inside the van what's the best anti theft device out there?

Ta.

Yes one of those, bloody useless as the thieves obviously have the nut.
Gonna buy a rusty half worn steel spare to make it not worth the tea leafs time.

Parked in Highgate parked outside Kate Moss's house.
I’ve got a few 16” spares with low tread, if you want one sharpish. Not yours... I picked a few up from a converter and grabbed up a grubby one for the spare wheel well.

I've been saying this for years , I've even written on mine THIS IS FOOKED in clear view ... come on you only need a get you home tyre
dont learn the hard way guys
