T6.1 new order delays

So have heard today that my sometime Lwb 199 (now 204) dsg 4motion panel van with a reasonable list of extras ordered with dealer 03/02/21 has been given a provisional build week of week 24. The dealer also said that he doubts that it’ll go back any further but that if anything will come closer than week 24.

So had the dealer ring me today and tho they agreed to pay for the extra towards the upgraded suspension it still won’t allow them to actual build the vehicle on the dealer portal. Basically long story short with VW getting involved they have upgraded me from a T30 to a T32 at no cost. Just hoping the velare alloys Iv got already from @BognorMotors are rated for a T32 now

Fit some T30 springs. Also remember you'll need class 7 mot.
Yeh to be fair it’s getting coilovers out on straight away just really didn’t want a T32 but to many options ticked that takes it over the weight of the T30.

I wonder if this problem might lead to VW removing the T30 204 option. If there are going to be additional option choice related issues with weight and spring load. Easier for them just to offer it on the T32.

I’m lead to believe that it will force you to actually order the T32 once you starting adding certain weighty options. The power sliding doors and the diff lock plus the 80 ltr fuel tank it’s just adding extra weight.

Yes that’s true and the extra 25kg engine weight tips it over the scale.

Panel or Kombi? If Kombi you should go through as class 4. My T32 had its first mot about a month ago, the garage were a little stumped at first so made a call to whoever at DVSA and it was completed as class 4.
