T6.1 new order delays

And the Mallaca Highway is just returning to Emden from Sheerness. It seems to run a constant 3 times a week run between the two, and always returns to Emden empty, so appears to be delivery to Uk only. So I'm sure it will turn up soon...I hope!
If you were the one who ticked FURRY DICE on the option list, I think it has been loaded!!!!

No, didn’t tick that option, although I think I may have inadvertently ticked the “please feel free to f**k me about” option on the first order!

Just seen a comment on the California Club chat that VW have told dealers today that there will be a 2 week delay in getting deliveries to dealers. Not clear if that means an extra 2 weeks getting them away from Emden, once in the UK, or a mixture of both. Haven’t had a reply to my email to my dealer earlier, so may get more detail from him.

My guess would be that the delay is getting them away from Emden based on what Randolph and I are seeing on ours.

Yes I agree @Ozi, mine will have left the factory 3 weeks this Friday.
To be fair, Germany is getting bad again with COVID which could make a difference.

Same day mine left the factory then.

Was looking at the storage yards at Emden on satellite images - they are absolutely massive!

Seems to be 3 or 4 vehicle transporter ships there loading most of the time, so in fairness it’s a huge and complex logistics exercise, which seems to cover all German VW cars and vans which need exporting. They’ll get here eventually.

As of Tuesday mine was still waiting to board a ship too... but it is cleared for export!

Chased my order again yesterday. Originally had a confirmed date for week 16 about 4 weeks ago. Rang again to see if it’s still the same and now told it’s a provisional date not a confirmed date.

That doesn’t make sense @SteH

Are you sure it was confirmed build week 16 before and not provisional? Haven’t heard of one moving back to provisional again

No was told confirmed then back to provisional. They did tell me to ring again in a week

You are right @Ozi there are vehicle carriers leaving Ebden for sheerness and Grimsby on a daily basis.

Just had the call from dealer to confirm mine is now on the boat and on its way. Looks like thats the boat that left Emden an hour or so ago and will arrive in Sheerness early tomorrow, so was sat at Emden for a total of 19 days, 17 of which were cleared for export. Should be with him next week and then off to the converter at last.

Happy days!
