T6.1 new order delays

first time i used chat they found the 8 digit order no for me too
I also followed your advice and they found me with just my name and maybe my email address (can’t quite remember) they gave me the order number as I had never been given it

If Europe continues to see increased infection rates, and second hand values stay high, you will likely to be able to sell it for more than you paid as soon as it arrives.

That what I am thinking.......keeping an eye on things.

That's all well and good, but I'm getting a new van ( hopefully) because I need a new van.

Finally got my Vw order number spoke the Vw on the chat thing. Still not even a build slot been given for me.

Did they say it had been accepted by the factory? If so ask your dealer what month allocation you have. What forecast delivery have you been given and when did you order?

I ordered 15 March and on my order form it says expected delivery Dec 9th
Then you probably are a long way off from getting a build week. Your dealer should be able to tell you when they have allocation for you. Then expect delivery 2 months later ish....

My order has been accepted by the factory but no build date yet.
I tried to change the order to have no lettering on the tailgate but the system won’t allow.
Don’t know if that’s a good sign or not?

When my order was accepted by the factory, a week later I did manage to change the order to include 80L fuel tank so I think you should push for what you want.

It’s only lettering on the tailgate. Nothing major.
How long after factory accepting order did you get a build date?

I have discovered that VW have a new fair technique to allocate build weeks. What they do now is rip up a week per page diary. They throw it in the air and then throw a dart over their shoulder into the pile of pages, hey presto....selection sorted.

I know what you are feeling like @Woodman but it will work out for you in the end.
when I first started phoning around for a new van, I thought I would try the dealer that I purchased a new van from 12 years ago and is relatively local to me. When the salesman started saying rocking horse droppings, I new it was time to end the call.
Have you any other options available or are you committed to the dealer?

If you don’t have a confirmed build week I think you can get changes made through your dealer. Is it called status 10? Then you can’t.
