Hi @Magnus that’s identical order and options I have chosen apart from colour. Also I didn’t include flaps as I’m not intending to land the thing!!!!

Good choice, very nearly went for that too.
I'm getting the wheels powder coated gloss black as soon as I get it.

So, seems mine has arrived at the dealers today at last!

Just signed registration declaration showing registered today. Just need to part with the balance now and then it’s off to the convertors for the fun part to start

That’s great @Ozi. It didn’t take long to get to the dealer from sheerness.

I ordered my T6.1 Highline Kombi on the beginning of March, what are the chance of getting it on July?

Were you given a build month by the dealer?

Kombi’s are seeming to take longer than PV’s and recent orders are often being told Sept/Oct onwards. All seems to depend on whether you dealer has space in their allocations at the factory or not.

Best to ignore the lead time quoted (I.e 16-20 weeks or similar), as that seems largely generic from VW and meaningless. The key will be whether your dealer has actual factory allocation left or not, and only they can tell you that. If they have, their guide will be fairly accurate. If theyve used it all up, you may be in for a long wait until they can get some slots allocated.

July this year? Hmm... pretty low!

I was told today that despite leaving the factory at the same time as Ozi’s mine is about to start its 23 day on a dick in Germany, I hoping that they’re just behind with the info...

If your dealer has allocation at the factory yes. Perhaps they have repurposed a stock vehicle for you. If not there is a risk you could have a wait upto Xmas. Ask your dealer if they have allocation for your build and when. You will have an order number. Contact VW live chat and check if your order has been accepted by the factory yet and ask if you have a provisional build week. It really is hit and miss at the moment and you have to find out if the dealer actually has that slot at the factory to sell you.

Which port is yours going into? Tyne seems to get less frequent ships, Grimsby and Sheerness more regularly. So that may be a factor.

I also get the impression that build allocation and order prioritisation is a factor in which vehicles get shipped when. Was reading the Cali club chat earlier this week and there are examples of vans almost driving straight onto ships when cleared at Emden for export, while others sit idle on the dock.

From the outset of my second order, the dealer was adamant it would arrive around end of March. To be fair it already had a provisional build date as it was a stock order, but he was spot on. I’ve found him far more on the money than VW chat, who never seem to have up to date info.
