T6.1 new order delays

In my experience "Provisional" is meaningless I think I have had something like weeks; 5;;7;6;8;9;11;14;16;14; 16;18;22 with others I'm sure basically think of a number between 1 and 52 then guess the year. Pissing me off as I could have sold my current car early this year if VW were on original plan! (Anyone want a 2010 Range Rover sport v8? Replaced engine and turbos 16 k ago?)

Same as me pal, spoke to customer services this afternoon and been told provisional date of May 10 now after being given a confirmed date weeks ago. Dealer told me there’s an issue with the tow bar loom but customer services wouldn’t comment on that.

I'd like to report to my friends on here that I have had a surreal day. After having written another strongly worded e mail yesterday about my van going back a further 4 weeks; I got a phone call from my dealership this morning with an update.
On the day I ordered my van, they also ordered a stock van with a simillar spec, i.e. colour engine, box, lwb etc but with a few woolly bits like mud flaps, lane assist, rear heating and traffic signal recognition. etc. It also has both electric sliding doors where I only ordered N/S power latching.
Strangely as like many others' recent events, to their suprise; that van rocked up this morning . This was to be a stock / demonstrator, however it is now going to be mine! This van hasn't got a tow bar but we have arranged for one to be retro fitted already, and it doesn't have the rear 1/4 glass so I will fit those. They are also taking my RR off me to save me the hassle of re insuring it, due on Tues. OK the RR has taken a trade hit but finally I can report that next week I should officially be back in the Transporter club. Sods law says my original order turns up in a couple of weeks but for the extra its costing I don't care, I can move on and look forward to my new project I will post pics as it transforms. Doesnt bother me, Dealership is Beadles Chelmsford, Sales Connor, Manager Justin. The van I bought today was to be Justin's company / demonstrator. The one on order by me originally is as follows; Fortana Red LWB 204 DSG T32 LWB Highline Kombi. It has a single N/s power latching door. OS centre has sliding window, both rear quarters have fixed windows; LED lights; detachable tow bar, sat nav, heated swivel front seats, no badges, rear camera, electric tailgate, washer level; high beam control; discover media sat nav; carpet in cab and a partridge in a pear tree. I found out today that somehow on ordering we had missed the twin batteries and the split seat so it has a 3 seat bench in the rear (so I'm told).
Saw the one I bought today only turned up this am so not PDId but what a superb colour Fortana is in the sunshine. Current provisional Build week 22 end of May

New to this, but I have been following the trials and tribulations on here with interest.
I ordered a new SWB 150DSG Kombi with a few bits on in Fortana Red on the 13/1/21.
Checked on it this morning, and was told that it had a chassis number and had left the factory - happy days.
Hoping to get it for the end of this month or the beginning of next

Just been on VW chat and they have told me the van I ordered on March 16th has a provisional build week of 46 (Nov 15).
Slightly disappointed as I was hoping for sooner but my order form did say expected delivery Dec 9th.

I picked up my van yesterday after 16 weeks from ordering @mjn but the dealer said that if I ordered a new van today, it will be December delivery for a panel van and January for a kombi at the earliest.

It is through Motus in Derby Scruffy.
They have been very helpful, bearing in mind that they were in full lockdown, no complaints at all ............. yet.
