If you are fitting the side bars @Woodman cut 1/2” off the threads of the studs before fitting into chassis holes then you won’t need to butcher your plastic covers

After speaking with online chat last week who said I had a provisional build week 46, I just had an email from my dealer saying I had no build week!
Straight on to online chat and got this update.

No, you can contact them at anytime - as long as you have your vw order number

They couldn’t give an estimate when I ordered. I reckon they oversold their allocation is the reason.

Hi I just got the news from my dealer that my van is built and on its way to port. From reading some of this thread it does feel a bit like I’ve won (a very expensive) lottery!
Dealer giving 6 weeks lead time for delivery, so will hopefully have by the end of May. I ordered early Jan T30 SWB kombi 4M.

But I guess when plagued by microprocessor delays, more Covid infections in Germany and heavy demand, it was always going to be a challenge to manage. Better to under promise and over deliver though.
