T6.1 Reduce Oil warning

Morning All and thanks for accepting me in to this forum, new the VW world, i have a T28 2021 (T6.1 i think) and am after a little advice if no one minds. I appear to be in the same boat as Burnsy79, I get the random oil over pressure light coming on, seems to pop up around the 2 hour drive mark then disappears, I had the sensors changed which was fine for 2 days then popped up on a short run over Dartmoor. I checked oil level and when cool did not appear to be overly high (4/5) and local diagnostic centre could not identify anything, just a little bit lost, VW want £128 for a diagnostic look but not sure if this is an software update issue as they did not seem sure and don't want to waste that money. Any help would be appreciated, also second question (sorry) my radio struggles to pick up stations, is this also an update issue. Thanks
for all your help.
Welcome!
I followed the video and I’ve been fine since. The light came on once, just after and then cleared. Once that error is triggered it does need to see the significant change before the error clears. If you don’t, you’ll clear the error every time you lift the bonnet and then it’ll come back.
My experience with the dealers is that they will end up just charging you for nothing and frustrating you.

Can’t help with the radio stations, mine has always been ok for that. The forum may have a good thread though.

Cheers guys, hope all are well now got another question, engine warning light came on, think it was after driving through deep water this weekend but not sure, however since buying the van from Arnold Clark 3 weeks ago, its been the oil over pressure light coming, rust that still needs to be sorted which they were meant to sort but did not and now this, starting to get fed up with the VW T6, though she does drive well and got her for a good price, not got to lie thinking of returning the van as its less than 28 days or am I over thinking this and its a simple fix. Would appreciate peoples advice on this, don't know much about VW and would like help.

Is it an over pressure light that’s on or is it the “oil level too high”? Oil level too high does usually point to the sensor being overly sensitive and not taking the oil expansion in to account. Once you complete the process in the video you should cure it.

It’s hard to tell you what to do, I know buying a VW Transporter is not a cheap purchase. I had a few errors when I bought my van from the converter and was almost in the same frame of mind as you. I sold my 18 plate Audi SQ5 to get mine and was plagued with little errors to begin with. I’m a year and a wee bit in and absolutely love my van. My mindset had to change, I was expecting the same level of quality as a car at that price. Once I got my head round the fact that these are vehicles that are made for carrying things around and we use them as cars and leisure vehicles so they aren’t perfect. I love the fact that there are millions of websites that will sell you anything you want and you can modify and upgrade the van to exactly what you want though.

For context, I still have a dodgy reverse sensor, an error on my new headlights full beam, the bottom half of my paint (the bit the converter sprayed) is not the best paint job but I still love my van. Maybe I’m not the right person to ask. ;)

I’ll keep my opinion to myself about Arnold Clark as it will not be helpful now you’ve already bought your van. I’d press them as much as you can to get anything fixed. The rust thing especially.

In short, if you can confirm your errors are niggles and not serious they should be easy enough to fix. Once you get the bug, you won’t look back.

Many thanks, it’s the oil pressure to high light, though that didn’t come on this drive it has to be said. All sensors changed under warranty but happen shortly after and weirdly resets itself if you open the Bonet and unscrew cap ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Not sure what to do tbh.
Thanks for the advice

If it didn't do it before then it seems likely one of the new sensors is up the swanee. Being a new item wont be a guarantee it isn't faulty.

Fair on and thanks again, now have a NOx sensor circuit high code come up, this popped up last night when driving through the honking puddles and rain, could this have caused it.
