@True Romance ,

@Tourershine has a rough plan...

EHU is availible in certain areas. The central area needs to be kept clear for the disco tent.

There are no marked pitches as such.

But we need to get everyone in.

@Dellmassive Are we going to designate a 'family' area? Eg top right or bottom left in the birds eye view pic.

Top right on that birds eye view, where it was last time. The site naturally put the family area within a short walk of the toilet block to cut the risk of kids having to walk too far out of view I guess.

For those that haven't been before, the photos @Dellmassive has put up, really don't give a true idea of size, but to put it into context, the whole field we have, has a capacity of 90 units officially, and that's traditionally Caravans with a car, or a Motorhome. We should have around 75 Campers all said and done, with only a few Caravans and only 1 Motorhome (mine) so there really is loads of room and plenty of nice coves for smaller groups to pitch up in if wanted.

The only area we need leaving free is the Green box for the disco tent and fire pits etc, and that left hand corner where it says 'Brook Meadow' because that's where the dedicated power points are located, and some people have pre-booked these that need power. Other than that, it's kind of my job to meet each person arriving and determine where they want to go. So if there are sub-groups of friends, try and arrange with yourselves an area that you'd like to be together and let me know when the first person in that group arrives. That way I can leave room for the rest of your friends.

It all sounds pretty complex but in reality it's not, and a simple conversation when you arrive with me and I will do my best to locate you where you want, obviously if that's possible. It's always worked over the last weekends I've arranged and I'm sure it will work this time.

One of the advantages of Brook Meadow is we have run of the area, so it's not regimented rows of pitches, making it a bit easier.

Whilst this thread is live, I want to also say officially that this is my last time being in charge of these events and I'm handing it over to @Dellmassive who's been heavily involved from the beginning, so knows what he's doing.

Reason being is these things take a lot of time and logistics to plan and get right, and the bigger they get, the harder they are to manage, and I'm just so busy with my own business, which although it's now 16 years old, my industry has seen a huge rise in popularity since Covid, and it's very difficult trying to juggle my customers constant enquiries and actually working, plus obviously lead a normal Home life and get these events done.

I will still be involved slightly, but the Lee and Lisa will be dealing with a majority of the planning after this weekend, which is at their request and they are best suited for this, hence Lee slowly sliding into my shoes on this weekends planning.

It's been an absolute pleasure doing these events and the feeling when you stand back and look at what's been achieved can only be described as euphoric, and I'm sure Lee will also experience this, but I need to prioritise the time I have to my own business as I always have.

Lastly, we still have a handful of spaces left if anyone reading this thread fancies a weekend in the company of some fantastic people, so drop me a PM if you want to be added.

Paul

Dont worry peeps. . .

it will always be the " @Tourershine and @Dellmassive show ".

Nothing will change . . . it will just get better as time goes on.

we are just helping out more with the planning / back-end and logistics leaving Paul more time to concentrate on his main business and other commitments.

onwards and upwards.

we will both be there next year 2022 same as always. :mexican wave:

we already have plans for the 2022 Disco Tent v5 improvements !!!

and plans to arrange more Fun, Food & frolics with the site and 3rd party vendors. (more food vans is top priority =] )

Can I express a massive thanks to @Tourershine and @Dellmassive (+1) for giving up their time and energy to put this into effect and provide us all with a fantastic weekend.
I’ll second that…. to give up their own time to arrange these weekends for others is very selfless and something we should all appreciate. Looking forward to meeting you Paul and to meeting you again (although very briefly last year) Lisa and Lee! :thumbsup:

We've crossed paths loads of times, but always seems to be coming or going to Oakham (where I'm actually going in a min)
