To cold to camp?

The nice thing about an awning is being able to sleep with the sliding door open should one desire, maintaining privacy and keeping one cool.
We did this and was awoken by a noise early hours , shot up out of bed thinking we were being robbed only to find a duck that had commando under our van and into our awning . 🦆
I must have startled it as it repeatedly flew at the roof of the awning trying to escape, quacking loudly and crapping fluorescent yellow crap everywhere!
After a short while it scurried back out the same way it got in ....I lay back down and gave it a minute for my heart rate to get back to more normal....all the while thinking 'what the fook just happened' and who is gonna clean all this crap up ? 🤔
Scared the life out me!

We have a dog now that can hear a spider fart at a hundred yards and would be up and growling so there's no chance we could sleep with the door open now .
She'd quite happily give chase and trash the joint in the process.... :grin bounce:

I remember cod-liver oil tablets as a child. I also remember that my parents bought a rather expensive Sun-Ray Lamp which I remember looked a little like those hairdryer contraptions that women’s hairdressers had. Their used to be a queue youngsters and parent from the area waiting for their turn. Always whiffed of Ozone and also a bit of a Palava wearing UV protection goggles. One only stayed under for a few minutes at a time, it was quite powerful.

Camping at Brixham, freezing considering we were 21C in our Northampton back garden yesterday, dozens of sodding kids too hanging around in a huge mass ready to set about any old duffers on their late night bog run... yes I know they're little uns but there's so many of them, I'll post some seaside piccies if the sun comes out.

My Shepherds Hut has underfloor heating in the tiled shower room, only about 1m2.

I've asked this before but I wonder if anyone has considered underfloor heating in their campers ? Not sure how much energy they use ?

We've brought a 12 Tog quilt, a double electric blanket, a 2kW fan heater and we've got the Webasto as a last resort.:geek:
Unfortunately we're on hook up, no grass only pitches and even though it's cool the sun is in and out so we have to keep emptying the leisure battery.🤪
As promised...
