Victron (#TeamBlue) Advanced Systems + VRM - How We Done It -

Nice information and updates @Dellmassive, thanks.

Quick question, does the Cerbo automatically swap to home WiFi, or do you have to do a manual swap. Mine seems to stay connected to the vans unless I swap manually.

it swaps automatically . .

well, i have mine linked to three WIFI points,

when i drive away from the house it will connect to the van wifi (ESDMOB)

when im at the house, it will stay connected to ESDMOB or connect to the home WIFI,

but HOW the Cerbo jumps from one to another im not sure, possibly low signal level will cause it to hop? maybe below a certain signal %?

we would have to ask Victron Tech on the algorithms on the wifi switching.

though TBF, i have 24/7 WIFI in the bus - so it should stay connected to that all the time.

I thought it was about time i added the other RUUVI temp sensors, to the Cerbo GX-S in the Bus,

now one stuck to the LB,

one for Outside temp

one for Inside Temp.

its super easy to add devices now with the New GUI, . . . .

looks like i just had a LOW BATTERY warning from a RUVVI,

nice, i didn't realise that they would report battery status,

I've had set of four for a couple years now, and fairly sure I've already replaced a couple of battery's.

looks like i need to replace this one now. . . . think ill mark the replace date on the battery with a sharpie.

Make sure you get the proper cells CR2477T as recommended by @n10n . When I looked they were a lady Godiva each, let me know if you find them cheaper than that!

in fact here they are. . . .

just found them in the draw - result.

these were the ones i used before.

4x missing from the pack - which is 3x RUUVI`s and 1xAlarm Door contact.

which leaves me with one RUVVI with a low battery . . . all making sence now.

the problem was i lost one of the RUVVIs,. . . so had to some BT tracking to find it,

ie hotter, colder,. . . hotter, hotter - i knew it was in the shed somewhere, but where?

long story short - it was in the camping fridge from the Camperjam last year, the one that went into meltdown.

so that battery wasnt replaced last year.

anyway - stock found. looks like were all good.

The T variant of that battery is meant to last longer in extreme temperatures but as you can probably buy 3 or 4 regular CR2477's fort the same price I'm not sure if it's worth it. Also, it's not like we see -20 that often here...

Like you Paul (always blessed like you!) I've got one in the fridge, be interesting to see how long that lasts, but we're only talking about 5 degrees Celcius minimum.

Finally all back together. Flat starter battery this morning which was a bit worrying. Seems OK now. Thanks @Dellmassive for the phone tech support. There's LOADS of settings. One thing I will say make sure you get the pin numbers off each module. I didn't and had to reverse a LOT of the way before I could get it working.
