What Have You Bought Today?

Rugs for bugs door trim mats and dash mat set, some veedub storage nets and an orange rear badge infill

Photos, or it didn’t happen. Let us enjoy pal

I’m old enough to remember the orange or a coconut and the house was bloody freezing so I missed out on the coal.
A little less from and for everybody would put us back on track.

Amen to that. Searched the emoji’s but couldn’t find a big enough ‘thumbs up guy’, so this little fella will have to do…

I’m going to change the wifi code to stop some of the fking shopping I’ve seen in my house this week!

My Climair deflectors are hidden in the caravan for the boys to give me for my birthday next month and the Vanstyle splitter is hidden there too for Santa to give me at Xmas! (And they’re just the bits I’ve told SWMBO about!!!)

Joking aside, every bloomin’ day there is at least one delivery driver rocking up to the house and I’m forbidden from opening any box!

Another 'kin tyre. That's 3 punctures in 2 months. At least now I'll have 4 pretty much all new matching tyres all round. Add that to the new windscreen yesterday and the van will be staying a bit longer to get all this monies worth out of it.

3 in 2 month screams foul play to me, Shirley no one is that unlucky??

local tyre firm not hitting its targets for the month :slow rofl:

First one was a nail which I reckon I picked up from a building site. Second was the biggest thorn I'd even seen. (Blame the left footed ecologists that won't let the farmers cut the hedges until the little twigs have grown into spears) This latest one looks very much like an under tray screw from my lads Fabia that is in about 16,000 pieces all over the garage and driveway.

The tyres all come from Black Circles and a mate fits them for a 'drink'. No one is getting fat off this.

Oh, and don't call me Shirley.

Took a few deliveries today.
First up was a Bulldog 4x4 wheel clamp as I’m paranoid some tea leaf is gonna lift my van when I’m not looking. This was an addition to my Stoplock Pro bought last week. I’ve gone for the visual deterrent theme but feel I may have to plan my journeys with around 10 minutes extra in order to remove the locks and clamps etc!

As my van doesn’t have an inbuilt sat nav I will be making do with my Garmin from a few years back. Mrs MD kindly updated it for me. I don’t particularly like the suction thing on the windscreen so bought a sticky pad type mount for the dashboard top. Haven’t fitted it yet but I’m a bit dubious as wether it will in fact stick properly and hold hold the nav unit? Cheap buy anyway so not too fussed if it’s a load of kak!

A pair of traction mats ordered and on the way for the muddy field times.
Ditto, a 25m hook up cable for campsite expeditions.

Also looking, but not yet pulled the trigger on a set of Climair wind deflectors. Deffo needed to enhance the side view.
Only got the van on Saturday (T6.1 Highline in Ravenna) but already spending cash on extras! I guess this is normal behaviour for T6 owners.

Passenger seatbase has arrived! now the decision is what seats do I get??? would love an oem passenger but I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices.

How small and lost does a Cavascal look?

Not as small and lost as a winter 16" Clayton, when you put them on after taking off a summer 19" Cantera!!

Even though the Claytons have M+S & 3PMSF markings which only get limited use in the cooler months due to it being a warm weather campervan, I think i'm going to buy some All Season tyres for the Cantera's and be done with the annual swap over.
It's an age thing...

@moomin-j. What are the winter tyres and how do they perform please?
These:

Not bad, not good, not really anything to report. Black & round like a tyre should be.
Not done that many miles with them to be fair, probably well less than 500 miles in total over the 2 winters that they have been on.
I sometimes wonder why I swap them over from the 100% better looking Canteras

When I do buy the 19" All Season tyres, these will need to go, as they just take up room in the works store cupboard during the summer months!!
I also need to permanently fit the 19" wheels as I have a "big" set of Vw front brake calipers to install when funds allow.
This spending never seems to stop. :)
