What Have You Bought Today?

I'm Just starting to think about the first long European trip of the year so bought:
Return Le Shuttle tickets departing mid-June and returning 5 weeks later (but they can be changed as required).
Toll tags for France and Spain/Portugal from Emovis - been thinking about these for years but never gotten around to buying them before. It costs a bit more in the long run but I'm hoping that the convenience will be worth it.
Renewed annual health insurance policy from Staysure.

I like that! Been considering something similar for my build. May I ask where you got it from?
The sink or the tap?

Sink is a VidaXL, they do many different sizes. Mine is the 44x29x20 one in black.

The tap is a Reich Linnea L, again they do a few different styles in the black colour. There's not many black microswitch taps about.

It's a mixer tap but as I only have cold water I've just connected both to a Y connector.

Some boxes of USB powered LED 'strings' from Lidl. They are billed as TV Backlight Kits but I've got an idea that I can use them to MacGyver up some ambient / halo lighting over the bed board in the roof which is never actually used as a bed and stays up all the time that we're camped. Each box contains the 1M USB power cable, 4 x 450mm LED strands with sticky tape backing, 3 x 300mm interconnects, 3 x 10mm interconnects and a remote control which turns them on and dims as well changes the colour (15 modes) and whether they flash (4 modes!). All that for £6.99 each box - even if the experiment fails, that's still a bargain:

They are a very good piece of kit! I used one to stick under the bed of my youngest to fit in with the whole “gaming” scene. The twin stick isn’t that good so you might want to pick up some 3M tape. All in all, lovely bit of kit for the money

I’m so jealous

New 25m hook up cable.

Went to Broadway C&MC the other week, was told off (very politely) for using my 10m+15m cables joined up.

Seems the C&MC will be enforcing their policy of no cable joins allowed (not even in one of those 'torpedo' joining covers) but are doing a Welsh 20mph style 'soft start', as we were allowed to continue using it and didn't have to move pitch.

The only reason I didn't buy one with the van in 2020 was that it came with a new 10m cable, which is fine for 70-80 % of the time, the 15m I bought was needed most of the rest, only 2-3 times now I've needed both. And yes, always on a C&MC site!

Ayjay, if you’re thinking of a permanent install of your led light strips have a look at the “ shallow 7mm surface mounted led aluminium profile” from a company called Simple Lighting. Used it for RGB led strips in my van and it gives a really neat finish.
