What Have You Bought Today?

There are far too many for whom getting someone else to pass the standard driving test for them is the pinnacle of their driving ambitions.
I had occasion to take a Noober in Birmingum two days ago, I am convinced the driver was one of those you mention...

Bought these wolfrace x10x the other week but had the tyres fitted yesterday at Costco. Very pleased with my alloy choice, just needs lowering next . A side note I highly recommend Costco for tyres, their fitters are the best I've come across, they even tried to swap the VW centre caps from my old wheels (without me asking) now that's attention to detail. They didn't fit sadly but at least I know that now. Just little things that show they take a interest in their job , unlike most fitters I've used before.

looking good!!
Do you have any 'down the side shots' would be great to see how they sit in the arches

There are too many who pass their driving test in another country and then can drive here.
This may be part of the problem but it’s much more than that, generally people don’t know how to drive anymore, they don’t indicate, they don’t have any road manners at all, often they don’t even turn their lights on at night! If you are speeding you will eventually be caught and fined, if you are not speeding anything goes, you will crash at soon point but that’s ok because you aren’t speeding so hopefully it won’t be serious.

Sorry, old man rant. I’ll get back in my box

Don't forget the middle lane morons completely zoned out unaware of anything around them!

Actually, that does leave the inside lane on the M25 free for me...

It’s the folk that sit at 30mph everywhere regardless if it’s a 40 or 50mph limit that boils my blood
Or the ones who sit at 45mph in a NSL wide open country A road, then still sit at 45mph through a 30 zone...

TBF, I've seen something in Scotland that I've never seen anywhere else, driving along the typical narrow country lanes, a load of people who are driving slowly, when they see someone driving faster behind them, they pull over and let them past. That would NEVER happen here in the SE!

Being stuck behind someone for miles at 40 in a national speed limit zone then going in to a 30 and they zoom off still at 40 is one of those things that makes me want to do a Michael Douglas Falling Down tribute

Sorry, I said I’d stop but it’s like you are baiting me now!

I wouldnt disagree with any of that. A few years ago i rode to Turkey and back on the bike. Through a lot of countries, by far the worst drivers were when I got off the ferry in Hull. The Germans on the Autobahn's were amazing, but an experience lol.

The standard of driving on the continent, especially on the motorways, is so, so much better than the UK. It really is astonishing, I've done hundreds of miles on French, German, Belgium motorways and seen less than a handful of people sat in the outside lane. Within 5 miles of getting off the Channel Tunnel I've counted 10!!

I think we might need a 'standard of today's driving' rant thread!!
