What Have You Bought Today?

To me that's not in the least bit boring. As somebody who had ancestors die in both world wars and personal friends in conflicts since I can only applaud anybody who still takes time to honour the fallen. I've seen some bad shi1t in my time but I've always suspected that none of it comes close to the horrors experienced by those before me. I also worry that generations after me really will find it boring and 'lest we forget' will eventually become just plain forgotten.

Tickets for Le Shuttle.
That might sound as a little boring but given its Rememberance Day, my life has been consumed for the last two weeks learning about a relative that died in 1917 and buried in Godewaersvelde British cemetery on the French/Belgium border.

I need to visit and I am taking my son along for the ride. I'll take in Ypres and other places of interest.
If you’ve not been before, the Last Post being played at Ypres really is something you need to experience in person to appreciate.

I had a Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 delivered by DPD a short while ago. I need to give it a good charge and I'll be comparing it properly to my current V1 tomorrow. It's certainly a bit smaller than the old one and I also need to download the apps to see what facilities are available wirelessly. There's actually nothing wrong with the old one but the ability to fit the new one under the bed when it's down and turn it on and off with the app (if that even possible) will be a big plus point and will probably swing it for me. Assuming it works as expected / hoped, I'll have to decide whether I keep both or sell the old one. TBH, I can't see me wanting or needing to lug both of them around so look out in the 'For Sale /Wanted' section if you're interested in a good condition Jackery Explorer 1000 V1 with carry bag, AC, DC and double solar panel charging cables.
