What Have You Bought Today?

View attachment 278718Basic fuel lagoon screen cover for our summer trips. I hope I’ve not gone too far but our thermal screen is massive, this one could almost fit in my pocket but the only requirement is really to give us privacy and black out if possible.
Got one of these - nice and compact, but it doesn't fit great around the door-mirrors tbh. Be interested to know what you think of the fit.

Bought two things today actually. The first was the upgrade to my solar panel. After Jason and Noel at @Absolut5 did an amazing job on the leisure electrics upgrade they pulled the van out of the workshop to test it all out and discovered the original 130w panel had died. So today I have been back to collect the van after booking it in for a new 270w panel. Another amazing job done but not without a few challenges. The old panel took 3 hours to remove snd clean up the surface, 2 hours longer than anticipated. My converter obviously didn’t want it to come off! Then came the realisation that the new MPPT wasn’t powerful enough for the new solar panel do that was swapped out too for an upgraded version. All that extra work was done for just £40 more than the original quote. If you want a great job doing at a great price from an honest business, give Jason a call.
The original panel against the much bigger new panel. 😃

I haven’t tried yet but tbh, it will do I reckon

I think my mate had issues with the fitment on his, I told him to get thermal rainbow screens and bizarrely as I took this photo he sent me this:

He has just got rainbow screen and poptop cover :)

Only gone and brought another camping table, that’s the 3rd and the last!, , but I might need a third set of chairs now. I've been looking at those Front runner expander chairs as they pack away smaller,
This table is 115x70cm very solid, at 8kg!
Table height can adjust very low or high.
Nice storage bag tooIMG_4034.jpeg

I’m guessing they are comfy enough then?, at the moment we have two giant Vango Titan moon chairs for the long stay summer chilling camps, very bulky but can fall asleep in them, then two fold up stools for deepest winter when we only sit outside to have a hot drink and watch the stars for 15 mins, , so now after an in between set, that are comfy, strong and pack away to a reasonable size, they look like a good solution

I've got the 6.1 version for the Caravelle and the fits been OK even over the Climair deflectors. It's a bit of a jiggle through the window if you have to use the front doors but it does for the privacy/darkness needs I have for the occasional kip in the van in roadtrips, is certainly good value and is small enough it can live under the bench which a "proper" thermal cover would not.
