What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

It is once the cleaning is done.
Yeah I noticed that my scuttle is manky, will be worth doing I hope. I am going to use Dynamat Extreme to cover it.

Fitted and tested my diy build kitchen pod.

Hi there, love your cabinet.

I have a question about it though. how did you make the join between the top/bottom horizontals, and the quarter round corner pieces?

I've been looking at the sections online and can't figure that out.

did you use these guys and notch the panels/doors to suit? US $9.98 |16pcs/20pcs L Shape Type Interior Inner Corner Connector Joint Bracket for 2020/3030 Aluminum Profile (with screw+wrench)|Corner Brackets| - AliExpress

Or did you have some variant of these US $6.08 9% OFF|20S 30S 3 Way End Corner Bracket Connector for 2020 3030 Series Aluminum Extrusion Profile|Brackets| - AliExpress that works with quarter round.

Hi there yes I did have to notch the panels in a couple of places I used a combination of inside and angle brackets from KJN Automation.

Covered the scuttle in Dynamat Extreme over the past two evenings in the Arctic weather we are having. Had to use my heat gun to warm my fingers at one point. The things we do for our vans!

Anyway it’s all done now.

Oh come on now, don't tell us half a story!!!
Surely you must have had an essential journey to make afterwards, you've run out of food and needed to get some more, or you needed to check your eyesight?

So does it make a difference??

My eyesight is shot so no testing needed there. Sat in the van to get the battery up to charge, and it does dull the engine noise. Glad I did it, next the wheel arches. The van is going to weigh a tonne more at this rate but it will be quiet ;)

After swearing at the rivet gun which made the job difficult, I mounted the Eton speaker in the driver's door and closed the door card one final time. I don't have anything on the job list that requires the door card off ever again!

Oh, you’ve so jinxed yourself now!

I know that feeling, sick to death of removing the door cards.

Although I do want to cover them in something just not sure whether to go suede or leather/vinyl.

Did you then launch the offending rivet gun and get a new one off of Amazon? ;)

I have the passenger door speaker to do, so will have to try it one more time. Plug and play, my arse
Plug and play. That statement annoys the bejesus out of me. It’s never that easy. Ever!
