Yeah I noticed that my scuttle is manky, will be worth doing I hope. I am going to use Dynamat Extreme to cover it.It is once the cleaning is done.

“Ours is a work van”....oh, so you mean an actual real van then! You’ve done more work on yours yourself than I have!!!Fitted carpet on sides and insulated panels, need to be brave and do wheel arches. Afraid ours is a work van so not so full on as other vans on here.

Wow! That’s a super job @TexxacoCovered the scuttle in Dynamat Extreme over the past two evenings in the Arctic weather we are having. Had to use my heart gun to warm my fingers at one point. The things we do for our vans!
Anyway it’s all done now.

My eyesight is shot so no testing needed there. Sat in the van to get the battery up to charge, and it does dull the engine noise. Glad I did it, next the wheel arches. The van is going to weigh a tonne more at this rate but it will be quietOh come on now, don't tell us half a story!!!
Surely you must have had an essential journey to make afterwards, you've run out of food and needed to get some more, or you needed to check your eyesight?
So does it make a difference??
Oh, you’ve so jinxed yourself now! After swearing at the rivet gun which made the job difficult, I mounted the Eton speaker in the driver's door and closed the door card one final time. I don't have anything on the job list that requires the door card off ever again!
Ouch! And it is 20 times worse in the cold! Thanks matey,
My hands and forearms are in shreds though. Surprising how sharp peices of plastic can be.
I know that feeling, sick to death of removing the door cards. After swearing at the rivet gun which made the job difficult, I mounted the Eton speaker in the driver's door and closed the door card one final time. I don't have anything on the job list that requires the door card off ever again!
Did you then launch the offending rivet gun and get a new one off of Amazon? After swearing at the rivet gun which made the job difficult, I mounted the Eton speaker in the driver's door and closed the door card one final time. I don't have anything on the job list that requires the door card off ever again!
I have the passenger door speaker to do, so will have to try it one more time. Plug and play, my arseDid you then launch the offending rivet gun and get a new one off of Amazon?
@Texxaco Are you not going to add the 30mm Sound Buffler foam on top? It makes a big difference.Covered the scuttle in Dynamat Extreme over the past two evenings in the Arctic weather we are having. Had to use my heart gun to warm my fingers at one point. The things we do for our vans!
Anyway it’s all done now.
